Airfix TWO MRCA Tornado / THREE Fujimi BAe Harrier GR-3 / Hobby Su-27 Flanker, 1/72, 04019-6

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG to Exc

Sold

SALE!! Includes all 6 kits in the three boxes shown. NOTE: Sold AS-IS and not inventoried. This collector was very meticulous and of his kits that I did inventory, 95% are complete. But on these kits he cut the sprue (trees) with the part numbers still attached to each number, so the parts are loose. Because of that, I have not inventoried these kits. NOTE: he built minor sub assemblies (cockpit tubs, wing halves, etc) to 'professional' quality. Again, these kits are sold not inventoried and AS IS hence the very low price.

Topping Martin P6M-1 Seamaster - Factory Desktop Model In The Original Topping And Martin Boxes

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

Sold

Incredibly rare, 1950s NOS Topping Martin P6M-1 Seamaster model in amazing, untouched condition still in the original Topping factory box, which is then inside the original Martin Box. Topping shipped this to the manufacturer, who then shipped them to contractors, test pilots and Navy Decision Makers. The Martin name and Baltimore (the location of their plant) is just visible on the remains of the shipping label. Inside the Topping Box, all of the factory cardboard is still intact. The stand and aircraft were never displayed or used. The gloss and shine on both are fantastic. There are no cracks, no breaks and no repairs. Decals and factory paint are all in 'near mint+' to 'excellent++' condition. While in NOS, never used condition, please note that these models never left the factory 'flawless.' There were always minor factory paint flaws and minor molding flaws as these were mass-produced. Furthermore, the decals inevitably have some yellowing, although this example has very minimal yellowing. Because it was never displayed and spent the last ~65 years in the box, it has some light 'box wear' in the typical underside areas. Specifically, this is where the white-painted, sharp-pointed underside of the tip floats rested on the shipping cardboard and the hull occasionally contacted the display base. The fact that the Topping factory usually applied the white paint in a very thin coat never helped. It affects the underside of both wing tip floats (the forward 1/2 inch) and the fuselage peak behind the (operating) rotating bomb bay for about 2 inches. Because the original Topping and Martin boxes adds significantly to the value, it will be carefully packed into another box for shipping. Shipping insurance is required.

Aurora Boeing P-12E, 1/48, 121

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

Sold

Dated 1958 with amazing Jo Kotula box artwork. This is likely the second issue; the factory has applied stickers to 'blank out' the price extension on the part number and removed the 69 cent price circle. The Parents' Magazine seal and 'Famous Fighters' sunburst oval logo are still present. This was a very nice kit for that time and is molded in high gloss dark olive drab and clear plastic. Never started and inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions included.

Aurora Spad XIII, 1/48, 107-69

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc+++

Sold

First issue hardbox in exceptional 'Excellent+++' condition. Dated 1957 with great Jo Kotula artwork. Please note the 69 cent price extension and oval 'Famous Fighters' sunburst logo. This is part of a popular and very successful series of 1/48 scale WWI aircraft that Aurora started in 1956 and added to well into the 1960s. Many of the line were in production right up until the demise of Aurora in the mid 1970s Molded in correct high-gloss olive drab and black plastic. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Aurora Nieuport II, 1/48, 101-100

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: NM

Sold

This model is in investment-grade 'Near Mint' condition. The only box flaw is very slight wear. Dated 1956, but this is a 1960s issue with the later John Steel artwork and blue oval 'Aurora' logo with no 'Famous Fighters'. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. This is part of the famous Aurora WWI series of 1/48 scale aircraft. The series began in 1956 and Aurora added new kits into the early 1960s. The line proved incredibly popular, so these kits were included in the 'mold upgrade' in the 1970s before Aurora went out of business.

Aurora Halberstadt CLII - (CL-II / CL.II), 1/48, 136-98

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good++

Aurora Fokker DR-1 Triplane - Newspaper Issue, 1/48, 105-100

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

Sold

1964 'Newspaper' release of the classic 1956 kit. The box has as new color and gloss, four solid corners but it does have a very light wear and a shallow crease. Molded in burgundy and black plastic. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. James Cox, who did much of the early artwork for Aurora, created a timeless classic for this issue - this artwork was used well into the 1960s and possibly up till the final "white Box" release before Aurora's demise. Mr. Cox also did unique artwork for the early Aurora Catalogs as well.

SMP 1959 Imperial Convertible Friction Drive Promo, 1/25

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

Sold

Original dealer promotional model that is 100% complete. This is a one-owner model that has always been adult owned. The tires are factory new - it has never been played with and never exposed to smoke. It has the metal chassis factory-painted black and stamped "S.M.P. Mt Clemons Mich"; the friction motor still works. The body is good but has some warping as shown. Body color is glossy and pretty with some foxing. The front and rear bumpers are stamped metal. Some of the fine trim (door handles etc) has been painted to 'professional' quality; it is good enough to pass for factory paint.
