Original dealer promotional model in very nice condition. It is 100% complete. This is a one-owner model that has always been adult owned. The tires are factory new - it has never been played with and never exposed to smoke or light. It has the metal chassis factory-painted black and stamped "S.M.P. Mt Clemons Mich"; the friction motor still works. The body is OK but has some warping as shown. Body color is glossy and pretty with slight foxing. The front and rear bumpers are stamped metal. Some of the fine trim (door handles etc) has been painted to 'professional' quality; it is good enough to pass for factory paint.

1973 Mattel/Monogram release of the famous 'Four Star' kit. This one of at least two 'White Box' variants identified to date; note the direction of the aircraft, the different font for 'Wildcat F4F' and the 'First Navy 'Cat' by Grumman' at the lower left. This is of a very famous series of 1/48 scale World War II aircraft originally issued in the 1960s. Features folding wings, rotating prop and wheels. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: the decals are flat, not peeling and 100% intact but have light staining to the backing paper only; the actual transfers have no stains. But there is visible micro-cracking to the transfers.

It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. DD-792 USS Callaghan was sunk July 9, 1945, by a Willow configured for kamikaze attack. It has been reported the light construction of the aircraft prevented the ship's AA ammunition proximity fuses from detonating. The type was also reported to have been used by Indonesian forces against Dutch colonial rule in 1947.

Big-scale Topping Sparrow 3 Missile that is 9 inches long. Very rare and even more so never displayed, in the original box and with all original packing material. This model was never out of the box until I took it out to photograph it; all factory tissue was undistrubed. I have put everything back exactly as it wa. The stand and missile are in amazing 'factory fresh' condition with glossly plastic, paint and even decals. The stand is dark blue in color. Please note that although they don't come in any better condition than this, none of these models left the Topping factory in 'flawless' condition due to the nature of mass production. The original Topping box and all cardboard inside are in 'very good+++' condition.

Still factory sealed. 1970s stick and tissue large-scale flying model. Can be built as static, free flight or converted to electric R/C with modern light-weight components. I fondly remember building this kit in about 1974 and it looked very nice. I do not know for certain since it is factory sealed, but this model normally features several sheets of printwood, three sizes of strip wood, scale wooden props and hubs, plastic flying props, balsa blocks are required, fully carved and finished main and nose wheels and thrust buttons, dowels as required, clear window material, full size control surfaces and nacelle to fuselage fillet patterns, window cutting patterns, insignia sheet, full size plans, instructions and tissue.

1970s large scale issue for rubber or gas free flight, or easily converted to RC using today's tiny and light servos and receivers. Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction, insignia, detailed full size plans, building instructions, wheels, hardware, tissue and propeller. The model has not been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.
