Features an excellent precarved wooden hull that only needs finish sanding, three sheets of quality printwood, stock wood and hardwood dowels, a sealed bag of many cast metal fittings and rigging beads, rigging line and full size plans with detail and assembly drawings, complete text instructions, rigging detail drawings, hull templates, flags and more The kit has never been started. Still factory sealed. The Monitor is 10 inches long and the Merrimac is 11 inches long when built. These are not the Lindberg kits but are from the original Pyro molds and have superior detail to the Lindberg issues. The Monitor and Merrimac are the two American Civil War ships that spelled the end of the wooden ship age. In March of 1862, the Merrimac put to sea to raise the Union Blockade off the St. James. There she sank the Cumberland and Congress. The Monitor, the Union's only ironclad and the first turret ship, was rushed to the scene. The epic battle between the two iron-clad ships ended in a draw, with the Merrimac suffering a little more damage than the Monitor. The Merrimac was blown up to avoid capture; the Monitor sank in a gale in 1862.

Large wingspan flying kit can be powered by rubber or electric and even made R/C with modern servos and receivers. Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction, markings for US Mail aircraft, detailed full size plans, building instructions, hardware, wheels, colored tissue and propeller. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Sherman features flexible treads, detailed bogies and rotating turret. LCM includes full interior, pilot house and figure, opening front gate, prop and rudder detail and two additional crewmen. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Both decals and instructions are in 'excellent++' condition with slight yellowing as the only flaw. NOTE: one side panel of the LCM has tread burns. 98% of the burns are on the inside wall only. These burns are significant and filler will be required to smooth the wall out.
