Still factory sealed and from the 1980; the special packaging is for Comet's 60+ years of quality and performance in flying models. Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction with quality, die-cut balsa sheet parts, stripwood, fully formed wheels, spars and wood stock as required, fully formed wire landing gear, rubber motor, plastic prop, wood thrust button, colored tissue and detailed, full-size plans and building instructions. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

Early Fujimi Mokei Co. issue and the most complete example of this kit that I have ever seen. Large-scale, early A-6 Intruder includes a full color painting guide, a beautiful full color post card of the A-6A (Black Panthers USS Enterprise), two very colorful sealed tubes of Fujimi glue, factory tissue-wrapped clay nose weight, the original very colorful cardboard 'hold down' inside the box, all five factory sealed parts bags with color Fujimi headers still stapled in place, the Fujimi quality control post card and markings for all three high-vis squadrons. Although older, this is a fine quality kit from when Fujimi made the finest models in the world. Features intricate raised and recessed panel lines, super-fine raised rivet detail, full cockpit and many options of full underwing stores consisting of 2000 lb bombs, 500 lb bombs, Bullpup Missiles, 250 lb bombs and drop tanks. Includes a large and colorful decal sheet for all four high-visibility aircraft. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

Still factory sealed and in amazing 'near mint+' condition. Mattel logo issue is dated 1967. Very well detailed for that time. Features movable control surfaces, very good cockpit, sliding canopy, instructions for rigging and a novel action feature: when you pull the prop outward and rotate it counter clock-wise, the landing gear retracts. Rotate it clock-wise and the gear extends. Push the prop in, and it freewheels as normal.
