Very well detailed and molded model of the cruise-missile equipped 'H' variant of the venerable Stratofortress. Features all recessed panel lines, nicely detailed cockpit and crew stations, choice of rear turret or 'constant tail section' (no gun), detailed gear wells, external fuel tanks, cruise missiles and pylons, optional position landing gear and decals for the last B-52 built, 61-040. NOTE: this kit has very minor 'professional quality' assembly. The cockpit bulkheads are assembled to the floor. 2 exhaust turbines are assembled to an engine half. There is no other assembly and zero painting. Inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Very large 1/15 scale kit that says 'Suitable for RC Conversion' on the box top. The side of the box says 'This injection molded kit includes extra parts for the modeler to convert it to a radio control model. No engine or batteries (or radio - AB) are provided and some simple conversion is required.' The kit includes a very large Scale-Master decal sheet with over 20 options for the 8 nations listed. The kit has never been started. The bag which contains all of the small parts is still factory sealed. The bag containing the larger parts was opened and it has been inventoried complete. With 'excellent' decals and instructions.

Very nicely detailed with fine raised panel detail, cockpit, open/closed bomb bay doors with internal iron bomb load, tail "stinger" and detailed landing gear with good wheel well detail. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: decals have stains on the backing paper but the actual transfers have no stains. However, there is age micro-cracking. Please see the two articles (located on this website) on how to restore or reproduce older decals. The B-47 was a very advanced aircraft at the time. The XB-47 first flew in 1947. The big jet's speed was equal to or greater than all current fighter aircraft, so it received radar-controlled twin 20mm cannons in the tail as the only guns. Through the use of mid-air refueling, the B-47 gave SAC it's first all-jet force for nuclear or regular bomb delivery. Although it was tricky to fly, Stratojets flew into the mid 1960s. A program to strengthen the wings for low-level attack was responsible for prolonging the service life.

Rare, early, small-scale ship kit from 1952. Very nicely detailed and molded, especially for that era. Includes waterline model, molded set display base, sails and ratlines finely printed on clear plastic sheet. The scale is not given, but the sea base measures 6.5" x 2" and the ship is approximately 5 inches long. Includes beautiful color instructions with the ship history, illustrations of assembly, how to set the sails and photos for rigging. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions. The box sides illustrates and names the 10 kits of this line. All were available in standard issues (such as this kit) or 'Ship In A Bottle' versions with a clear plastic bottle; the 'Bottle' was also available separately. The entire set consists of the Santa Maria 1492, Golden Hind 1588, Mayflower 1620, Bon Homme Richard 1779, SS Savannah 1819, The Flying Cloud 1849, Charles W. Morgan 1850, Gertrude L. Thebaud 1929, Frigate Constitution 1797 and US Revenue cutter 1849. It appears that Gowland & Gowland has not received the credit that it deserves in the plastic kit revolution that took America by storm in the early 1950s. Gowland developed the first all plastic car made in the USA in 1950, the 1911 Maxwell. Even more interesting is that Kevin and Jack Gowland developed the 'Highway Pioneers' in 1951 which heralded the future for the American Hobby Industry. The reason that Gowland's name is not in the fore-front of model history is that Precision Specialties (later Revell) did the distribution for Gowland.
