It is molded in the correct glossy gray plastic for this early issue. The kit has never been started. It is factory new inside, with all the parts and all instructions, decals & flag sheet still inside the Revell factory sealed clear bag.

Aurora USS Missouri BB-63 Battleship - Young Model Builders Club Issue, 1/600, 774

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc+

$89

Early 1970s issue of this famous kit in the YMBC release. It is in the original white 'mailer' box with the factory-glued lithograph 'slick' in 'excellent' condition. Features a one-piece full hull, propeller and rudder detail, rotating turrets, separately molded and positionable 5" secondary battery and quad 40mm AA battery, two float planes and catapults, display stand, name plate and decals. Never started and the parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. I have good memories of this model - because of the one piece hull, it floated very well. That and the "good" detail made it an ideal platform for BB gun target practice on my friends lake.

Lindberg USS Manchester CL83 Light Cruiser, 1/600, 1723

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Exc++

$36

Still factory sealed. This model is dated 1986 and is a full hull kit from the original, late-1950s molds.

Airfix Montys Humber Staff Car, 1/32, 05360

Still factory sealed but the seal has shrunk with age and drawn the box top concave. This is a fine kit of the second of Monty's two Humbers. Features very good underside detail with full suspension, driveline exhaust & gas tank, full interior down to the map pockets, optional deployed or stowed passenger compartment windshield, optional up or down convertible top, Monty and driver figures and more.

Airfix SE 210 Caravelle - Air France Classic Airliners Special Edition, 1/144, 04175

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG++

$32

Very good model of what is perhaps the most beautiful jet airliner ever made. Air France was the primary customer, but many airlines flew the Caravelle, including United Air Lines in the USA. Features clear windows, full landing gear and opening and closing rear loading ramp stairs. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Revell Los Angeles Dodgers Lockheed Electra II, 1/115

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: NM

$250

SALE! Very rare. Special issue of the Dodgers Team Aircraft made by Revell just for the concessions dealer 'Danny Goodman' for the LA Dodgers, Inc. I purchased this kit along with the Revell factory shipping carton. This carton was originally sold to Union 76 Service Station #3459, located at 12080 Ventura Blvd in Studio City California. The case was shipped directly from Revell in Los Angeles to the Union Oil Station; the gas station owner's son confirmed this. (Somehow Danny Goodman was bypassed in the transaction!). The kit is fresh from the original shipping carton with no more wear than you would expect. The box is in investment grade 'near mint' condition with the only flaws being some yellowing and light wear on the paper label. Inside, the kit is factory new. All parts, decals and instructions are still sealed in the Revell factory bag. The kit includes a wonderful photo of the 1963 Dodgers - World's Champions!

Aurora Patton Tank M48 - 8th Army / 8th Army 6th Tank Bat. / 24th Infantry Division, 1/48, 321-150

Still factory sealed. This 1969 hardbox issue in amazing, investment-grade 'Near Mint' condition. Hard-to-find, 1/48 scale model featuring elevating gun, rotating turret, figures, operating treads and bogies and battlefield display stand. There are markings for the three different tanks listed.

Jo-Han 1934 Mercedes Benz 500K Special Sports Roadster, 1/25, GC234-200

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

$75

Every few decades an automobile is produced that becomes an world-leading classic in beauty and performance. In the spring of 1934 at the Berlin Auto Show, Mercedes-Benz introduced a new series of high speed touring cars. The engine was the super charged 8 cylinder Mercedes, and the model name was 500K; 500 for the engine's 5 liter displacement and K for "Kompressor" or super charger. One of the three 500k cars was to become an immediate classic -the Singelfingen-Bodied 500K Special Sports Roadster. This model is highly detailed and features over 150 pieces, steerable wheels, removable top, operating rumble seat, removable boot, highly detailed engine and full chassis, double rear-mount spare tires, detailed interior, opening hood, chrome spoked wheels, tonneau cover and more. Molded in tan/yellow (as per the box top), black, clear, a large tree of chrome-plated parts and rubber tires. Never started. Inventoried with all parts and instructions present.

Maquette Handley Page Dart Herald Channel Express Airlines or BIA British Island Airways - (ex-Frog), 1/72, MQ-7221

$95

Still factory bsealed. Hard-to-find and from original Frog molds. One of the very early British Prop-jet airliners, Heralds carried 56 passengers or 6.5 tons of freight at a range of 1000 miles and a cruising speed of 275 mph. This kit features separately molded rudder, ailerons and elevators, two position passenger and cargo doors, rotating propeller & wheels, boarding stairs, seated and standing pilots and more. Includes two very colorful decal sheets and painting guide for both aircraft.

ITC US Submarine Chaser - SC96 Subchaser WWI US Navy - Motorized, 1/74, 3682-249

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG++

$189

Very rare motorized, large scale model that measures 18 inches long when assembled. Dates from the late 1950s or early 1960s and can be easily converted to R/C with todays modern & small components. Motorizing equipment is complete with battery holder, electric motor, brass contacts, motor mount, metal shaft & drive propeller and switch. The kit is molded in blue and silver plastic, while the motorizing parts are molded in white. The kit has never been started. The silver parts are still in the factory sealed bag. All other parts have been inventoried complete. Includes decals, color flag sheet and both sets of instructions (standard and supplemental for motorizing). The actual US Navy WWI Submarine chaser was a 110 foot wooden vessel. The ships carried a crew of 25 and were armed with a 3 lb deck gun and a "Y" gun for discharging depth charges. The ships proved valuable in combating the German U-boats in the Atlantic and Mediterranean. Some were updated and saw service in WWII.

Lindberg Amphibious Duck - Cellovision Issue, 1/76, 757

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Exc

$145

Still factory sealed and a very rare kit from the late 1950s that has fantastic Ray Gaedke artwork of a beach landing scene. For some reason this kit almost never shows up and was issued only once or twice. Why is did not stay in the lineup is a mystery; perhaps the molds were damaged beyond repair. The model is large scale and well detailed for that time. The Cellovision box is in 'excellent' condition which is most unusual. These are thin and frail boxes which are easily damaged. This one has like-new color and gloss, no crushing or creasing, an intact plastic window still securely glued into place and all short end flaps in place and factory glued shut. The trading card on the back is in very good condition as well. Flaws include light age spotting, light general wear and a very small 1/2" x 3/8" litho tear on the back near the right short side.

Heller Snecma C-450 Coleoptere, 1/48, 1400

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

$250

Rare kit of the 1950s French VTOL aircraft. The Coleoptere (meaning 'Annular Wing') was designed much as the American Pogo aircraft; however, the Coleoptere was exclusively jet powered. Some test flights took place on a tether, but the aircraft was destroyed while performing a free-flight transition from vertical to horizontal. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Please note that this kit must be shipped double boxed and insured.

Aurora Braniff Boeing 747 - Braniff International Air Lines Jumbo Jet - Young Model Builders Club Issue, 1/156, 750

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good-

$59

This is the early 1970s Young Model Builders Club release of the classic Aurora 747. It is still in the original 'mailer' box with the glued-on lithograph slick. This colorful model features full color Braniff markings, big 15" wingspan, clear cockpit windshield, detailed 18 wheel landing gear and large display stand. Molded in 'Great Pumpkin' orange and clear. Never started and the parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

Aurora Consolidated PBY-5A Catalina, 1/74, 374

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good-

$79

Rare, first issue artwork from about 1955. This was a fine effort by Aurora for that time and an impressive model when assembled. Features retracting pontoons and rotating props. Includes correct early logo instructions which show the clear 'Triangle World' stand and the correct stand is included. This must be one of the first instances of the 'Triangle' stand being used as it is normally associated with oval 'Famous Fighter' logo kits. Molded in gloss silver and clear. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The box has great color and gloss and would grade at least 'good' but it has two small factory tape tears on each long side. This model was made after Aurora found out that the scale on the box top was wrong and was factory 'blotted out' with a black circle at the top left.

Aurora The Blue Knight of Milan, 1/8, 472

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good-

$45

1960s Aurora of Great Britain issue with great box art. This model contains a large 1/8 scale knight, base, both red and white plumes (like the box art) and instructions. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Please NOTE that the box had a closed tear across the bottom, about 1" up from the lowest point. This has been neatly repaired from the inside but that is why the box only grades 'good-.' In the mid 1950s, Aurora bought three 'Knight' molds from Crown Plastics and issued them as K1, K2 and K3. These were the very first Aurora figure kits and they sported the 1956-only rectangular 'Northern Lights' logo with the correct 'Crown Line' logo inside it. The sales success of the Knight prompted Aurora to launch an entire line of figure kits. The knights themselves stayed in production long after many other figures were discontinued.

Bandai Mercedes Benz L3000S 3 Ton Cargo Truck - Bagged, 1/48

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good-

$69

Very rare. In 1977 Bandai briefly issued four 'demonstration kits' to test the market. They were this Mercedes Benz L3000S, German Goliath Demolition Vehicle, Mercedes Benz L3000A House Truck and NSU Kettenrad Motorcycle. Features detailed motor, removable hood, detailed chassis with separately molded exhaust, two bar, front and rear suspension and driveline, excellent cab interior detail, two styles of troop seating configuration for the bed, optional 'soft' top for the bed and more. After this very brief availability, Bandai never reissued them again. Never started. This kit and the paperwork is still in the factory sealed bag. I have listed this kit under Bandai; however, there is no manufacture listed on anything that I can see in the bag. At one point Academy obtained many Bandai molds and reissued several of the famous 1/48 Pin Point armor issue, using original Bandai artwork. Although I cannot tell, this may be one of the Academy kits. I cannot tell if there are decals or not because the paperwork is sealed. If it is the Academy issue, it will not have them as they did not issue decals with this kit; however, they would put four paper license plates to cut from the instructions if you wish.
