1990 issue as a tie-in with the famous motion picture. Includes two very nicely molded kits. The USS Dallas is 1/400 scale, full hull and has recessed panel lines. The SH-60B is 1/100 scale and has recessed panel lines and good cockpit detail. The kits have never been started. The have both been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Large-scale, full hull model with good detail for that time, separately molded deck fittings, deadeyes & pulley blocks, metal anchor chain, two dories with seats and oars, display stand, full vacuform sails (in amazing 'near mint' condition), color flag sheet and very good rigging instructions. Molded in the correct wood tan and dark green plastic. The kit has never been started. The brown parts are still in the factory sealed bag. The green parts were never factory sealed and have been inventoried complete with the instructions.

Life-Like HMS Ark Royal - (ex Pyro), 09251

From the mid 1970s and original Pyro molds. This kit is from the intermediate size sailing ship line and features excellent detail for it's time (molds were cut int he 1960s). Measures about 9 inches long when assembled. Full hull kit with detailed hull halves and one piece deck, deck cannons, one piece rat lines and billowing sails. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including instructions. The Ark Royal was Flagship of Lord Howard of Effingham against the Spanish Armada. She, with her sisters, played a key roll in the defeat of one of the largest sea threats to England.

Lindberg Douglas F4D-1 Skyray - (F4D1), 1/48, 562-98

Rare 'green' box art issue from the late 1950s. Fantastic artwork is by Ray Gaedke, who painted both of the Skyray issues for Lindberg. Kit features fine raised details, moving rudder and wing control surfaces, complete jet engine and opening inspection cover, pilot, two drop tanks, underwing rockets and a clear display stand. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Box displays much better than the grade but is ranked 'good-' because one short panel has stains, wear and three (later) price stickers. Lindberg is a company with a fascinating history The original 'Lindberg Line' stretches back to the 1930s when Paul Lindberg drew plans for famous modeling magazines and marketed his balsa wood 'stick and tissue' by urging dealers to carry the '...Complete Lindberg Line'. Fantastic 'near-mint' condition first issue of this classic kit in the 'Four Star' hardbox dated 1964. This kit is part of a very successful 1/48 scale line of World War II kits that Monogram issued in the 1960s. Has all parts and decals to build any of the five versions. Will also make two additional versions - Mark IIA and Mark IIB as per the introduction on the instructions. Features a wide variety of guns/bombs/rockets and cannon, retracting landing gear and rotating prop and wheels. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Aurora Lockheed C-141A Starlifter, 1/108, 376-250

1969 Big "A" logo hardbox issue and the first release of this model that is still the biggest injection molded Starlifter model ever made. This model is the product of Aurora's serious attempts to complete with Monogram and Revell; as a result, it is very cleanly molded with recessed detail enclosed wheel wells, clear cockpit windows, very good engine intake and exhaust, optional position landing gear, MAC decals and more. Since this is the first issue, it includes the large version of the old style Aurora clear plastic triangle 'globe' stand. It has never been started. Inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Comet Piper Cub J-3 - 25.5 inch Wingspan Gas or Rubber Powered Wooden Aircraft (J3), 1623

From the early to mid 1970s. Large scale issue for rubber or gas free flight, or easily converted to RC using today's tiny and light servos and receivers. Box art is by Locher, who did a great deal of the Monogram box artwork also. Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction with all die cut parts, 'Tube-O-Matic' fuselage construction and 'Rugged Super X Simplified Non-Warping Wing' construction, colorful insignia sheet for civil or US Army versions, detailed full size plans with building instructions, die-cut printwood, factory-cut stripwood with leading and trailing wing edges, fully formed and finished wooden main and tail wheels & thrust button, hardware, tissue and plastic propeller. Never started. The small parts are still in the factory sealed bag; the parts that were never sealed are inventoried complete. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.
