Fourth or fifth issue of this kit and much rarer than the first (1956) issue. The box is dated 1956 but this is from about 1960 issue with the oval starburst logo but no 'Famous Fighters,' 79 cent price extension and no Parents' Magazine Seal. This is a true 79 cent box - there is no 'stamp out' of the old 69. Molded in gloss green and black. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Dated 1956, but this is a 1960s issue with the later John Steel artwork and blue oval 'Aurora' logo with no 'Famous Fighters'. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. This is part of the famous Aurora WWI series of 1/48 scale aircraft. The series began in 1956 and Aurora added new kits into the early 1960s. The line proved incredibly popular, so these kits were included in the 'mold upgrade' in the 1970s before Aurora went out of business.

This box is in rare investment-grade 'Near Mint' condition. The kit is dated 1958, but still has original 1956 box art. The actual issue date is from the mid-1960s due to the lack of a price extension and the blue oval logo. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.

Thank to Dusty Rhodes for pointing out that the decals are for serial 419/15, Bayerische Feldflieger Abteiling 9, Autumn 1915.

Rare, still factory sealed kit dated 1959. The model is in amazing investment-grade "Mint" condition. The seal is intact. Although dated 1959, the lack of 'Famous Fighters' within the border of the sunburst logo dates this kit from the very early 1960s. The 'Famous Fighters' is in the border of the two logos on the two short sides.

Still factory sealed and the second Issue, which is dated 1967. This kit is part of a very famous World War II action kit line that Monogram issued in 1/48 scale. Very nicely molded and features retractable landing gear, pilot figure and rotating propeller & wheels. The model has never been started. Please note that the box is only graded 'Sealed Very Good' because at one point heavier kits were on top of it and it is slightly compacted.

Still factory sealed and in investment-grade 'Near Mint' condition. Mattel Logo and SkyStick issue dated 1968. Well molded and detailed model for that time featuring detailed cockpit and gear wells and choice of two canopies. The decals are for Col. Howard, who was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor. He was an AVG pilot and became the first US pilot to become an ace in both the Pacific and European theaters. His aircraft 'Ding Hao' means 'OK!' in Chinese.

Monogram OS2U-3 Kingfisher - RAF Or US Navy - Blue Box Issue - (OS2U3), 1/48, PA135-150

Still factory sealed and in 'Near Mint' condition. First issue dated 1966. This kit is part of the very famous line of 1/48 scale World War II action kits. Finely molded and detailed for that time with traditional Monogram quality. Features optional parts so you can built a the ship-based (float) or wheeled land version, good cockpit detail, underwing bombs, elevating and rotating gun, pilot and gunner figures, five piece canopy that can be positioned closed or in several open configurations and choice of US Navy or Royal Navy decals. The Royal Navy aircraft were called Kingfisher I and 100 of them were delivered with both wheel and float gear. The US Navy aircraft is that of Lieutenant William F. Eadie from a Kingfisher squadron based in the Ellice Islands. He spotted and rescued Capt. Eddie Rickenbacker and his companions after they had been on a raft in the Pacific for 21 days and virtually given up for lost. Lt. Eadie moved the most injured into the radio compartment while Rickenbacker and the other crew member were lashed to the wings. Eadie figured that the aircraft could not fly, and luckily he met a PT boat and transfered the uninjured men to it.

Molded in gloss white, clear, red-tinted clear, chrome plate and with rubber tires and metal axle. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The instructions are in 'very good' condition and the decals are perfectly flat, 100% intact and in 'very good++' condition.
