The kit appears to be from the early to mid 1980s as the side panel mentions that in 1987 Aerolineas Argentinas celebrates 20 years of service between Argentina and Mexico (I base that on a 1949 start date for Aerolineas Argentinas). Features extensive decals with all side stripes, fin flash, name boards and more, fine raised and many recessed panel lines, detailed landing gear that can be built retracted or extended, detail main gear bay, good engine inlet and exhaust detail and a large display stand. Rare. Late 1950s/early 1960s early issue with a high-gloss box top and very collectible artwork. Nicely molded kit for that time featuring realistically folding wings, working ailerons, crew of two, wiring and remote control battery holder. It is engineered to be motorized with a Mabuchi Baby Motor, which Aoshima did not furnish (it was available separately). The model as never been started. All parts are still sealed in the factory clear internal bag. With the original tube of cement, decals and instructions.

The kit itself is the large and rare wooden kit for remote control. 55.5 inches long when assembled and very highly detailed. Nicely prefabricated and made from plywood, high grade balsa and other wood. Most parts are cleanly die-cut to shape. Solid pieces, such as 5 inch turrets, hull sections, smoke stacks and many more are pre-cut to shape. Includes full-size plans, instructions, running hardware, additional R/C instructions, flag sheet and decals. NOTE: the kit has very minor assembly to a few small parts. However, the real problem is that it is missing many die-cut balsa parts sheets as follows: Sheets 1,2,3,4,5,7 and 14. Appears to include all of the other sheets but is sold for the fittings set only; everything else is sold "as-is." Does include detailed instructions and plans.
