1966 Pyro issue from original molds. Features detailed chassis, complete motor and interior and a removable hood. Molded deep red and clear. NOTE: this kit has very minor and 'professional' quality assembly to two pieces: the engine block halves. There is no other assembly. Inventoried 100% complete including instructions. In the early to mid 1960s the Pyro company chose many kit subjects based on historical significance instead of popularity. Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to, such as this Alfa, which was in the collection of John C. Silva Jr of the Silva Auto Engineering Shop in Massachusetts.

NOTE: this kit has 'professional' quality subassembly as follows: Kit #1 wing halves with two machine gun barrels. There is no other assembly. Complete other than the display stand, which is missing. Kit #2 wing halves and two machine guns; nacelles (to the wing) and the landing gear doors (closed position). There is no other assembly but there is a nicely done putty weight in the nose as this kit is a 'tail sitter' as built. Complete other than the display stand.

Around 1949 the USAF assigned a high priority to all weather fighter design and deployment. Most aircraft manufacturers responded with traditional two seat machines, such as the F-94. North American, however took a new approach and created one of the first true "One-Man Interceptors". Keeping the wings and landing gear from the proven F-86 Day Fighter, they made a longer and deeper fuselage with a large radome and J47 engine. Guns were replaced with 24 2.75" folding fin rockets. Although more than a ton heavier than the F-86, the Dog was the fastest aircraft of it's day and set several world records. 2,504 were built and formed the backbone of America's air defense system in the 1950s. This model is highly detailed and features all recessed panel lines, detailed cockpit, detailed wheel wells, optional position leading edge slats and wing flaps, drop tanks, optional position speed brakes, canopy and rocket tray and a highly detailed tow tractor. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

1997 Revell-Monogram reissue of this classic and well detailed Aurora kit. When Monogram purchased the Aurora molds, it initially reissued all of the more modern molds. The Ford GT molds were so good that the kit was reissued again in 1997. Features fully detailed suspension, chassis, engine, exhaust and interior, opening hood with spare tire, opening trunk with full engine compartment and more. Molded in white, black, clear and chrome with rubber tires. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The parts that were not factory sealed (chrome and clear) have been inventoried complete including decals and instructions.
