Revell SMS Seeadler (Sea Eagle) German WWI Commerce Raider, 1/232, H382-298

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG++

$179

Rare 1960 hardbox first issue with great John Steel artwork. This is a kit of a fantastic subject -the famous WWI sailing commerce raider of Count Felix Von Luckner. Very well detailed kit for that time. Full hull kit is molded in gray, brown and black and includes rigging thread and full rigging instructions. The kit has never been started. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes flags and instructions. The SMS Seeadler was a unique WWI raider in that it was not designed to elude the British blockade and break out to sea...it was designed to pass right through the blockade within full view of the British before attacking allied shipping around the world. No detail was overlooked in the Seeadler's preparation, right down to a Norwegian-speaking crew. The plan went perfectly - and the Seeadler passed inspection at the British Blockade. Her non-threatening appearance helped her in an active and colorful raiding career that nearly went around the world. I highly recommend reading any of several books that you can find about this ship. Von Luckner himself became quite a celebrity for his exciting exploits.

Revell Avro Dam Buster Lancaster With Secret Bomb, 1/72, H202-198

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$48

First issue hardbox from 1963. Features specially modified Lancaster fuselage with Dam Buster bomb and release mechanism. Landing gear retracts, props and wheels turns and control surfaces move. Molded in black and clear. The kit has never been started. The parts have been inventoried complete and includes decals and instructions. The Dam Busters squadron was famous for its daring raids on three German dams on May 16, 1943. Carrying the special Barns Wallis-designed bombs, the Lancasters flew very low over the water in the face of heavy flak to drop the rotating bombs perfectly. Many did not return. The bombs did perform as promised, first skipping over the water, hitting the dam, then rolling down 30 feet before exploding with tremendous force. In an airburst, these bombs would not have damaged the dams, but since water is incompressible, the dams were breached.

Revell Lockheed F-94C Starfire - Pre 'S' Issue, 1/56, H210-79

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc+++

$125

1954 issue. Molded in the correct gloss silver and clear, with the 'Revelving' Swivel Base. The kit has never been started and is inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. The small parts are still in the factory bag but it is opened. The decals and instructions are in 'excellent++' condition. The box has only very light wear as shown. This is the third release. The first issue was in the simple one-piece box and Revell quickly converted to this two-piece box as it was much more durable and a full-color lithographed 'slick' could be used. For the second issue, Revell added rivet and raised panel line detail as well as landing gear, and went to this box and H210-79 kit number. The famous 'Globe' clear stand was added, but the 2nd issue has the rare one piece stand arm and the instructions reflecting that. The 3rd issue (this kit) is identical to the 2nd issue except that the 'Globe' stand was changed to the sturdy 3 piece arm version.

Revell A3J (A-5A) Vigilante Nuclear Bomber, 1/83, H196-98

The entire kit has recessed panel lines and rivet detail-no raised marks. It has an attention to detail that is lacking in many older Pre-S and S kits. Molded in the correct gloss light gray and clear with the "Globe" clear stand. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.
