Monogram Japanese Submarine I-19 with Glen Seaplane - (ex-Aurora), 1/275, 3103

Still factory sealed. From original Aurora molds. The I-19 is famous for firing history's most successful torpedo spread off Guadalcanal. On September 14, 1942, the I-19 was patrolling of the Solomons when the crew made visual contact with the American forces. After working into position, she fired a 6 torpedo spread. Three hit and sank the US Carrier CV-7 WASP, and the remaining three exploded against the BB North Carolina and the destroyer O'Brien. The destroyer sank and the North Carolina had to be repaired at Pearl till November 16, 1942. The I-19's Glen seaplane also flew night reconnaissance on February 23, 1942 over Pearl Harbor for the planned second attack by Emily flying boats on that base. Large scale kit is almost 16 inches long when assembled. This is an excellent model for that time from Aurora's improved efforts of the late 1960s/early 1970s. Aurora knew that the older kits were outclassed and cut a new series of better molds including several ships, helos and subs. The result was higher mold quality and very good detail, such as this kit. Includes display stand, decals, periscope and cranes, Glen seaplane, conning tower and deck guns.

1979 issue from the original Aurora molds. When Monogram purchased Aurora, they reissued some of the Aurora kits - but only the ones that met or came close to meeting Monogram quality standards. Molded in medium gray plastic. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. This model is a copy of the captured U-505 that is displayed at the Museum of Science and Industry in Chicago.

Monogram Pro Modeler F-102A Delta Dagger Early Production with 'Case X' (Squared off and Turned Up) Wing, 1/48, 5923

Still factory sealed. The only correct early production 1/48 Dagger Kit. Original early Daggers came with the 'Case X' wing which had upturned and squared off tips. Later aircraft, starting with serial # 56-1317, had the Case XX wing. The -Twenty wing has a rounded, turned down tip with larger elevons that are angled with the tip. Markings for two aircraft are included: 509th Fighter Interceptor Sq based at Clark, Philippines. This aircraft depicted was deployed to South East Asia to Tan Son Nhut in South Vietnam. The second aircraft is from Connecticut AG 118th.

First issue dated 1962. The box has like-new color and gloss, four solid corners and no tape or price tags or tag marks. The only flaws are is very light general wear as shown, small sections of clear sealing tape on the long sides and a ink '2' on one short side. This model is part of a very popular and successful line of 1/48 World War II kits that Monogram issued through the 1960s. Kit features retracting landing gear, rotating wheels and prop, pilot and cockpit and optional drop tank. Never started. Inventoried with all parts, decals and instructions present.

Features very fine raised panel lines and recessed control surface outlines, highly detailed interior with all crew stations, optional position canopy, detailed wheel wells, removable cowl with detailed engine, optional position wing flaps and crew boarding door with stairs, rotating turret with elevating guns, optional drop tanks and more.

1972 Mattel-Monogram issue. The 540K was produced from 1937 to 1939 by Daimler-Benz and was priced at about $11,000 - a King's ransom in those days. The supercharger boosted horsepower to 180 and the car traveled easily at 105 mph. Features rolling chassis detail, detailed engine, complete interior, removable soft top or boot and removable hood. Molded in silver, black, white, chrome plate and clear and with rubber tires. This kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions.
