Pyro 1930 Ford Model A Custom Pickup, 1/32, C307-50

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: NM

$39

1960s Pyro issue from original molds. In the early to mid 1960s the Pyro company chose many of it's kit subjects based more on historical significance than popularity. Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. In some cases, the specific car and owner is on the box. The model includes colored injection molded parts, clear parts, detailed chassis and complete interior. Ideal for slot car conversion. Aurora Boeing KC-135 Stratotanker, 1/125, 143-130

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Mint

$79

Still mint in the factory seal. Dated 1963 and from the larger (1/125 scale) of the two ex-Comet molds. Kit features cockpit and cabin clear windows and full landing gear and a 'tanker' rear end and flying boom (although the box art does not show it). Molded in gloss gray and clear. This model was given a clear Aurora two piece 'triangle world' stand, unlike many of the other Comet kits which only had a modified version of their original stands included. Of course this is not the production KC-135 but a model of the Boeing prototype.

Renwal Curtiss Goshawk F11C-2 Aeroskin - (F112C) USS Saratoga, 1/48, 282-149

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed VG++

$85

Still factory sealed but the seal has drawn the box concave. This is one of Renewal's famous Aeroskin kits, and a rare large one in 1/48. Features markings for the aircraft of "High Hat Squadron", VF-1B commander Seligman aboard the USS Saratoga in the early 1930s. The model has an injection molded inner structure of ribs and stringers like a real aircraft, then the modeler covers it with provided authentic pre-colored Aeroskin fabric. There is little painting needed as elaborate finishes are printed directly on the Aeroskin covering. This results a very realistic and colorful model.

Academy USS Indianapolis CA35 Heavy Cruiser, 1/350, 14107

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: NM

$59

Very highly detailed. Features waterline or full hull build, full deck fittings, highly detailed superstructure and much more. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

Aurora Boeing B-29 Superfortress, 1/76, 372-259

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

$125

Rare 1957-1962 issue retaining the same artwork as the 1956 issue. This kit has arguably the most dramatic and fanciful B-29 composition from the 'Golden Era' of modeling. Note the square 'Northern Lights' logo has been replaced with the 'Famous Fighters' Aurora sunburst oval logo and there is a '$2.59' price circle at the upper right. I believe the 3rd issue. The box is in 'very good' condition with nice color and gloss. There are no split corner and no repairs. It does have general even wear. Molded in gloss silver and clear, with a big clear 'triangle-based' Aurora stand. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes 'near mint' condition decals and instructions. Responding to market information that boys wanted larger kits, Aurora introduced the B-26 followed by the B-29 and B-25, all of which sold well for many years- almost right up until the end.

Lindberg McDonnell F-88 Voodoo, 1/48, 543-98

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

$55

1950s first issue. Features movable controls, detailed ejection seat and pilot, scale jet engines with inspection hatch, full landing gear, optional wing tip tanks, full landing gear and a display stand. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: decals are from a later version of this kit and are in 'excellent++' condition. They are better and more accurate decals than the original but do not have the F-88 script. Lindberg is a company with a fascinating history The original 'Lindberg Line' stretches back to the 1930s when Paul Lindberg drew plans for famous modeling magazines and marketed his balsa wood 'stick and tissue' by urging dealers to carry the '...Complete Lindberg Line'. After the war, Lindberg and Olsen had a strong hand in early United States injection molded kit development. Please see the article located on this website about early USA plastic kit manufactures.
