Extremely Rare. There is no recorded information of this kit or even a record on the internet of one ever changing hands. Japan-only issue is of a large-scale science-fiction helicopter features forward gun the fires shells (with a spring), upward firing spring-loaded missile tube, all-metal clockwork motor that drive two rubber tires (as per the box illustration), working twin rotors, cook cockpit detail with crew member, opening clear cockpit door, colorful decals and more. Molded in silver & clear with metal parts and rubber tires. Includes a colorful decal sheet. The piece count is near ~45 parts and it is a very good scale rendition of the box art helicopter. This superb kit is rightly considered superior to the plastic offering in crispness of detail (due to resin and metal castings) and accuracy. Includes CY3500070 Laser Cut Wooden Deck in mint, never used condition. Yankee Modelworks 1/350 were advertised as the World's Finest 1/350 Ship Kits, and that was no idle boast. All resin parts are cast from de-aired molds in a pressure chamber, ensuring that every detail is sharp and there are zero to few air bubbles. Careful design of the molds also nearly eliminated resin flash. The cast metal fine details are stunning and it can be built full hull or waterline. The large and extensive set of two brass photoetched frets are the equivalent of a modern 'Super Detail' PE set. This model can be built waterline or full hull. Never started. The Borax company commissioned this kit in the 1950s as a tie-in to the very popular, long-running TV series 'Death Valley Days.' From looking at the moldings and instructions, I believe that Revell may have produced the kit for Borax. It is a very highly detailed for that time featuring 20 mules, two Borax wagons and one water wagon. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes instructions. NOTE: the box is rated 'poor' because it is missing the entire lower long side. Originally a radio program, 'Death Valley Days' had a long run on television from 1952 to 1970 and ended as one of the longest running westerns in entertainment history. This kit is true scale model of the famous borax wagons that would cross 162 miles of Death Valley with 20 mules in the days before the railroad. There was not a single house or other sign of habitation along the route. One leg was 60 miles with no water. The two wagons carried 25 tons of Borax and the mules covered 16 to 18 miles a day with a two man crew. The sturdy wagons were purpose built for the trip. Although they carried huge loads, there is no record of one every being stranded.

It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Includes a Master Modelers Stamp for the Martin PBM, large-format full color trading cards for the A-4 Skyhawk and Vigilante and a MMC application form. NOTE: this box would grade higher but there is a price tag tear on the left short side that is about 1.5 x 3/8 inches.
