NOTE: builder kit only, please read carefully for the condition. Rare. From the 1930s through the 1950s Strombecker produced the world's finest highly prefabricated hardwood model kits. The B-29 is one of Strombecker's flagship models. Features completely carved to final shape fuselage, wings with airfoil, four engine nacelles, tail feathers, turrets, gun sighting blisters, wing flaps and more, four plastic propellers and tricycle landing gear with all gear doors. Includes the excellent, large format detailed instructions and even the detailed B-29 booklet. Never started. Inventoried and NOTE: missing the follow parts- one wing flap, one horizontal stabilizer, (2) small gun sighting bubbles (wood parts), one axle (simple metal piece), (2) straight pins, metal stock for gun barrels, decals, glue and wood filler envelopes and sandpaper. All other pieces are present. The instructions are there and have light bug damaged but are completely usable for building the model. The special B-29 booklet is present also.

These kits are as good and often better than Strombecker's. The wingspan is 6.5 inches and all parts are completely carved and shaped from quality western pine. Features fully finished fuselage, finished wings complete with perfect airfoils, die-cut struts and horizontal & vertical stabilizers, a factory sealed envelope with pre-finished wheels, propeller and more, excellent decals, step-by-step instructions with a painting guide and full size plans. Never started. Inventoried and NOTE: one model is 100% complete. The second one is missing the propeller and airfoil axle fairing. Includes all other parts, two sets of decals and two sets of plans/instructions. Other aircraft in the line included S-1 P-51 Mustang, S-2 British SE-5, S-3 Piper Cub, S-4 Ercoupe, S-5 Taylorcraft, S-6 Navion, S-7 Cessna 140 and S-8 Fokker Triplane.

Early 1960s release with the second Airfix logo has dramatic artwork of an He-111 performing a low altitude attack on a convoy. The model features elevating and rotating gun and turret, full crew, movable ailerons, elevators and rudder, optional position landing gear and external bomb load. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: there is a personally typed letter from Airfix included because a wing half was missing; Airfix sent the wing (in a different color plastic!) with this great letter on official Airfix Type 2 Letterhead. NOTE: while all parts are present, two machine gun barrels are broken from the main gun and these barrels are missing. Easily replaced with pulled sprue or round plastic (or metal) stock.

Both decals and instructions are in 'excellent++' condition with slight yellowing as the only flaw.
