Very rare kit from the early to mid 1940s. This is a deluxe solid wood scale model that features 2-D cut fuselage, wings & nacelles, printwood, two cast metal three-blade propellers, fully formed wheels, wood and metal stock as necessary, insignia (on the plans), and very large set of excellent, full-size plans that includes wing and fuselage cross sections, building instructions, paint guide and more. 13.5 inch wingspan. Never started and complete. Master Modelcraft Supply Company made wooden model aircraft and ships and listed their address as N.Y. 66, New York during the early 1950s.

From the 1940s. Features 3D cut fuselage and wings (most unusual), 2D cut tail feathers, stock wood, printwood, fully formed turned wheels, color decals and excellent full-sized plans. Never started and complete. Maircraft was originally founded in the early or mid 1930s by Gordon Christoph and went by the name Aircraft Model Company. The company produced a typical line of solid 'profile cut' kits that required the usual high talent levels for carving and finishing. A former Comet Model Airplane & Supply Co. salesman, Jack Mair, bought the company in the early 1940s and renamed it Maircraft. This company was one of the handful of solid kit producers who issued models in a consistent 1/48 scale during the 1930s and 1940s (others included Hawk and Dyna-Model). This lead to one of the most desirable and rare model kits ever produced in the USA - the wood/plastic 1/48 United DC-3 model issued immediately after World War 2. Other than the P-61 and a few other Maircraft offerings, most were simple kits that sold for the low price of about 35 cents and gave the owners many hours of pleasurable work.

Rare. 1967 issue issue with fantastic box artwork. CV-6 has a combat record unequaled in history of the US Navy and is considered the most Successful Warship in History. Her totals were as follows: 20 Battle Stars, 911 Aircraft Destroyed and 71 Ships Sunk. She took part in almost every major action of the Pacific war from 1941 to 1945. The fascinating history of this ship is told by Commander Edward P. Stafford, USN, in his legendary book "The Big E - The Story of the USS Enterprise." Kit is over 20 inches long and includes a one piece hull, SBD scout-bombers, moving cranes, decals and flags. The kit has never been started. Judging from the translation mistakes and spelling errors, this is a very early if the not the very first issue. Molded in dark green. Very large and nicely molded kit. Features rotating gun turret, optional position crew doors, working rudder, elevators, ailerons and flaps, good flight deck and engine detail, pilots, optional position engine maintenance stairs, beaching gear, torpedo and bomb load, rigging instructions and a 1/72 tow tractor with driver. There are markings for at least two different aircraft and possibly a third. Inside, the kit is as new and has never been started. All parts are still sealed in the factory bags. Large scale (1/125) 1976 issue that is well detailed and measures over 20 inches long when assembled. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. U-99 was one of the most active and successful early boats under the command of Otto Kretschmer. She survived 7 active patrols but was sunk on the 8th patrol on March 17, 1941. 40 of the crew survived the sinking, including Kretschmer, who accounted for the greatest tonnage of shipping sunk by any commander in WWII.
