Very rare Science Program issue of Revell's famous early cut away Polaris submarine kit that caused a national stir when released. It is still in the original 'Science Program' box that is in 'very good+' condition. This model dates from the early 1960s and includes all of the special 'Science Program' items as follows: special Science Program instructions, additional Science Program decal sheet and the pamphlet "The Story Of Our Undersea Nuclear Navy." This detailed model features swing away starboard hull, detailed weapons system, two Polaris missiles that fire, retractable periscope, movable control surfaces, detailed crew quarters, mess, galley, torpedo room, instrument and chart rooms, detailed atomic engine room and reactor, US Navy markings, extensive color decals and display stand. Includes additional decals to make one of the five submarines listed. It is molded in the correct medium gloss gray, light green and black plastic. Never started. Inventoried complete with all parts and paperwork present. Decals are perfectly flat and in 'excellent++' condition with slight yellowing as the only flaw. Instructions and brochure are both 'excellent.'

For KVZ this is a very nicely molded and detailed model with recessed and raised detail, full clear parts for the windows and a large and colorful decal sheet including the side striping. Early issue with dramatic artwork. This is a very highly detailed model that is designed to be motorized. Features super detailed cockpit, full engine and engine compartment and firewall, removable cowling, rubber tires, separately molded elevators and ailerons, choice of two bomb loads (large centerline bomb or medium centerline bomb with 4 wing tip bombs, opening canopies, two positionable pilot figures, decals and paint guide for two aircraft and more. (Airfix did not include the motor with the kit, it had to be purchased separately) This kit has the swastika decals intact; that is unusual because in many cases the Airfix factory cut the swastikas from the decal sheet before shipping.

The B-155 was the peak of Luftwaffe high-altitude fighter design but did not see combat. First flown on February 8th, 1945, the aircraft had been developed from the Messerschmidt Bf-109ST and Me-155. Three prototypes were constructed, and one remains in storage with the NASM. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

Very rare 1940s wartime 'Spotter Model' in the 'National Defense Model Series.' Strombecker specifically made this line of 1/72 scale kits to fit the 'Official National Spotter or Recognition Program' for civilians and the armed forces for training and identification. This is a high quality, highly prefabricated kit of solid western pine hardwood. The parts are almost completely carved - only final sanding is needed! Includes perfectly carved and smooth fuselage, complete upper and lower wings with airfoils in place, pre-cut stabilizer, elevator & struts , detailed instructions, full size plans with gauges, full color insignia sheet including canopy, two sheets of sand paper, sanding stick, original small parts envelope and two other envelopes - one with Strombecker wood filler and the other with Casco cement. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried and NOTE: missing propeller hub. Otherwise complete with all other parts and includes color insignia and instructions. NOTE: the instructions have may closed splits along the fold lines. The box is missing two of the small inner flaps.

This model features a remote bomb release (press a button and the bomb bay doors open to release bomb), rotating and elevating tail stinger cannon, a crew of three and more. Never started. This is a Cleveland 'SF' or 'Scale Flying' model in museum scale of 1/16. This is an early issue in a cardboard box with silver printing. All Cleveland kits were exceptionally complete and this one is no exception. Features very high quality balsa printwood and strip wood, covering material, highest quality plans, all parts required for assembly and decals (if issued with the kit). The model has not been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. NOTE: there is light bug damage to some paperwork. The Cleveland Model and Supply Company played a pivotal role in the development of true scale models. In 1909 Bleriot's English Channel flight caused a surge in aviation and model aircraft around the globe. Several companies were ideally positioned to take advantage of the aviation craze. In the USA, Wading River Manufacturing Co. (1909), White Aeroplane (1911), Ideal Model Aeroplane (1911), Broadfield Model Aeroplanes (1919) were among these pioneers, offering everything from plans and parts to complete kits and ARF models. Lindbergh's 1927 crossing of the Atlantic Ocean caused an even bigger world-wide phenomenon called "The Aviation Craze" that extended up to the start of World War II. Many companies such as Megow, Guillow's and others started right around the time of Lindbergh's flight. Some of these models flew and flew well, but they all had one thing in common - were generally not accurate scale representations. In 1929, a youngster named Ed Packard had a very advanced dream- to produce incredibly accurate, true scale models that flew perfectly. This radical idea established the world's longest running single-owner (77 years) model airplane business- Cleveland Model and Supply Company. To this day, Cleveland models are treasured as the most accurate flying scale models produced. The fact that Mr. Packard started and successfully grew this business during The Great Depression is a testament to his ideals and business skill. I highly suggest the excellent book called 'Aviation's great Recruiter- Cleveland's Ed Packard' by H.L. (Herm) Schreiner. It is an excellent history of the man, his company and the times of the Golden Age of Model Aviation.

Limited issue kit. The FW-190 V18 was an attempt to improve FW-190 performance at high altitudes. The V18 had a pressured cabin, DB 603G engine with a Hirth 9-2281 turbo-supercharger and a four blade propeller. There was a new air intake below the cockpit and a larger vertical tail surface as well. The design flew very well, but the Hirth unit was too unreliable for service use and project was abandoned. Very finely molded with all recessed panel lines. Includes many photoetched details and film instruments. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bag including decals and instructions.

1995 issue of this large scale Seasprite is from quality Matchbox molds and is well detailed for that time. Features 109 pieces, detailed interior with cockpit, rear ASW operator station with instrumentation, three crew figures, opening left and right cabin doors, optional position landing gear, separately molded windshield wipers, external weapons and sensors, working rotors and more. Includes decals and paint guide for both helicopters listed. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The box displays much better than the 'good+' grade but is graded as such because when the kit was opened, the Revell 'round tape' seal removed the litho on one short side and bottom in the shape of the round seal.
