Rare and very large close-to-1/72 Aeroflot 'Hook.' For KVZ, this is a very nicely molded and detailed kit with recessed and raised detail, full clear parts for the windows and a large and colorful decal sheet including the side striping. Could be made Russian Army but you must furnish your own red stars and numbers. Molded in ivory, white, black and clear plastic. ITC was the model manufacturing arm of the giant Ideal Toy Company. Ideal only made plastic models for a very short time in the late 1950s and early 1960s before all production was discontinued. Luckily, they made some great subjects. This Condor is molded in the correct bright orange with blue-tinted clear windows and base. Includes decals for Eastern Air Service and Antarctic Expedition II. NOTE: this kit has minor assembly: wing halves; float halves. There is no other assembly. Quality of assembly is as follows: wings and one float: excellent++; 2nd float - 'very good.' There are no gaps but some glue is visible and will need to be sanded. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present.

Original issue from the late 1950s/early 1960s with the finest mold quality. This is an excellent model for that time and is still popular today. Molded in dark green and clear. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Please not the the box would grade much higher but it has remains of clear tap on the top and lower center of the box and the long side panels. The MB-2 is the famous first bomber to sink a battleship under any circumstances. Billy Mitchell arranged to have the ex-WWI German Battleship Ostfriesland used as target practice for 6 MB2s, and the ship sank in 25 minutes.

1970s 'Yellow' box issue and a very nicely detailed, full-hull kit of this famous warship and commerce raider. These kits are still in demand for their detail and accuracy, since Heller did their research in identifying the differences between Spee, Lutzow and Scheer. These are integrated into these kits down to the porthole differences. A very nicely detailed, full-hull kit of this famous 'Pocket Battleship" with 200 pieces. Inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: this kit once had assembly. The hull halves were glued together but then came apart. There is no other assembly. The former assembly job was only 'good'. You will need to sand some of the glue from the mating surfaces before they will joint neatly.

Hawk 1909 Hupmobile - Highway Classics, 1/24, 635-50

Rare hardbox issue dated 1964. The box is in amazing 'Near Mint' condition. Hawk did not issue many automobile kits, but when they did they chose interesting subjects. This one is 1/24 scale and molded in yellow plastic with black wheels. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including instructions. The 1909 Hupmobile was among the first cars to look 'long, low and lovely' with a racy appearance. Rarely seen now, the Hupmobile was very popular in that day due to good performance, looking a bit like a Mercer or Stutz but sporting a much lower price tag. And this kit has a very interesting history also! The molds were originally cut by Kaysun in Japan @ 1954. The kits were a huge advance over the 'Highway Miniatures' and if put side to side put the Revell offerings to shame. I do not know of other kits from Kaysun beyond the two cars. Later in the 1950s Strombecker purchased these molds and issued them in very colorful boxes. However, Strombecker discontinued all plastic kit production in the late 1950s. In 1964 Hawk somehow located these molds. Always with an eye to quality, the Mates brothers knew these were perfect kits for their expanding line of models. The called the Rambler and Hupmobile 'Highway Classics' and issued them in full color boxes that sported photos of the actual built models. There were at least three issues; one at 50 cents, one at 60 cents and one with a special case. However good the kit, the subject matter simply did not catch on and eventually the kits were withdrawn from the line. Polks Hobby Modelcraft found and purchased the molds in 1982 but did not issue the kits. In 1988 Mandrill Manufacturing purchased the Strombecker molds and it is possible these two Kaysun kits is among them.
