Rare 1955 Revell model with the great box artwork that has made these kits so famous and collectible. This large-scale model features excellent detail for that time and almost all items shown in the box art - railings, grates, name boards, navigation lights, vents, whistles, bumpers, bitts and even two crew members. NOTE: this kit has minor, 'professional' quality subassembly as follows: cover to lifeboat; rudder & small mount (for the propeller) to the hull; lower superstructure (5 pieces, four walls and roof). There is no other assembly. Inventoried 100% complete and includes decals and instructions. The box rates only 'very good' because it has isolated and light age spotting as shown. The Long Beach was built in Decatur, Alabama in 1943 and was one of a fleet of tugs operated by the Wilmington Transportation Company. She had a registered length of 81.1 feet and a beam of 24 feet. Gross tonnage was 146 inches and she drew 8 feet of water. Powered by a 700 hp diesel, the range was just over 3,500 miles.

1966 Pyro issue from original molds. In the early to mid 1960s the Pyro company chose many of it's kit subjects based more on historical significance than popularity. Luckily for us, Pyro not only made these kits but did an excellent job for the time. The Pyro car models are based on the actual cars that Pyro engineers and designers had access to. The model includes rubber tires, chrome plated parts, colored injection molded parts and clear parts. Features detailed chassis, suspension and exhaust, complete motor and interior, spoked wheels and a removable hood. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including all parts and instructions.

Rare. Still factory sealed. Beautifully molded in high-definition resin. The Ki-74 was first conceived in 1939 as a long-range reconnaissance aircraft to operate from Manchurian bases. Its development was shelved when further research was needed to design its pressurized cabin. Late in 1941 the project was revived as a long-range high-altitude bomber-reconnaissance aircraft capable of bombing the United States mainland. The war ended before the aircraft could be deployed in sufficient numbers. When the Ki-74 designation was first identified in a captured Japanese document, it was thought to apply to a fighter type and was coded with the boy's name "Pat". Later, proper translation of captured documents finally confirmed that the Ki-74 was actually being developed as a bomber type, the codename was feminized to become "Patsy". The gender change of the name was an embarrassment to TAIC (the Allied group in charge of the aircraft codenames), and was one of the very few code name changes late in the war.

This the very large wingspan P-47D Razorback in the Bind-N-Fly version; all you need is a compatible transmitter, some assembly and you are in the air in almost no time at all. This model kit is brand new. The box has been opened, but absolutely nothing was removed from the box. Inside, everything is exactly as it left the factory - stapled or taped into place and factory bagged. Payment is due before pickup. Features molded base and sandbags, elevating gun, moving left & right trails, radio, shell casings, full shells, ammo box and crew of 5 in-action G.I.s. Never started and inventoried complete with decals and instructions. Thanks to Paul Houk, we know this is not the same kit as the Revell 105. Although they have similarities, they are from completely different molds. I recently had the opportunity to compare them side-by-side and they are actually quite different.

Very rare kit from 1962. First and only issue. This is the largest injection molded kit ever made of the very fast Convair 990 airliner. The box has as-new color and sheen with four solid corners and no repairs. There are no price tags, tape or price tag/tape marks. The only flaw is light edge wear. The model is molded in the correct white and clear plastic, with the large clear triangle display stand and full color United decals. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried 100% complete including all parts, decals and instructions. Decals and instructions are both flat with slight yellowing being the only flaw. NOTE: shipping insurance is required with this kit. The Convair 990 and its near sister 880 were very high performance airliners. Unfortunately they did not find favor with commercial operators. The commercial failure of the 990 caused Aurora to pull these molds from production shortly after the introduction of the kit. The 990 was a larger and faster (Mach .91) airliner than the 880, but it failed to meet it's range criteria for east to west crossings of the USA. As a result, only 37 were made. Interestingly enough, several 990s continued to be operated by private owners and NASA operated two for decades after the last one was phased out of commercial service. Only 65 880s were produced from 1959 to 1962. The aircraft was designed to be smaller and faster than the DC-8 and 707 - this market did not develop, however, and if it did it could have been served with less expensive designs.

Shizukyo German 75mm Assault Gun III Motorized With Light Up Gun Barrel, 1/50, TS-202-300

Very, very rare and a very nice investment. Shizukyo started in the 1960s but was out of business before the end of the decade. This kit is probably from about 1963/64 and is well molded and detailed for that time and features motorized operation on the rear drive wheels to move the treads and a large flashing red bulb at the end of the barrel that 'fires' the gun. Features TKK Mabuchi RE15 motor that is still in the original old-style TKK box, complete with printed plastic wrapper and sealed accessory bag, all metal gear box, wire and sealed bag with motorizing hardware, the red electric light bulb, glue and decals. The actual kit is molded in a black or very, very dark green plastic. Inside, the kit has never been touched. All the smaller parts are still in the factory sealed bags and the big one has a paper header. However, one of the two bags had a 2" tear, so I inventoried the bag - it is complete with all parts. The only parts that were not sealed are the upper and lower hull, upper and lower turret and gear box/gears/drive shaft. The instructions are in 'excellent' condition and the decals are still in the sealed bag and 'very good' with moderate yellowing being the only flaw. Amazingly, the treads are in 'near mint' condition and completely intact - they are still very flexible! NOTE: this kit must be shipped insured.
