Original 1958 issue hardbox with stunning artwork. NOTE: ideal builder kit only, please read carefully for the condition. Very highly detailed with working launcher, opening doors, sliding ladders, rotating wheels, rubber tires, moving fins and a launch crew of three. Molded in olive drab, white, clear and with rubber tires. NOTE: there is no painting but this kit has minor and professional quality assembly. Steps 1 and 2 are done - the chassis only. There is no other assembly and the quality of what is done is superb. Inventoried and NOTE: missing one figure base. The steering wheel is present but missing the shaft (easily replaced with wire, stock plastic or pulled sprue). Otherwise includes all other parts, decals and instructions.

True first issue dated 1963 and with a 79 cent price extension to the kit number. Jo Kotula did the amazing artwork. This early issue has 'Famous Fighters' in the four logos on the box sides. Nicely done kit for that time with fair cockpit and engine detail, ground base, pilot figure and mechanic. Molded in gloss black. The kit has never been started. This large, scale model of the famous Viking Longboat features plank-on-frame hardwood construction, die-cut keel and bulkheads, hardwood strips from planking, high quality printwood, other wood stock as required, sail cloth, rigging line and rigging diagram, a fittings set with 32 highly detailed shields (with 8 different decorative designs on the front) and more. Inlcudes full size plans with detailed cutaways and assembly drawings. On the back of the plans are text instructions in three languages including English. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The parts that were not factory sealed have been inventoried complete. DMI is short for Dansk Modelflyveri Industri.

Famous Aircraft Series hardbox copyright dated 1960 with a '...Picture Box Top For You To Frame!' The box art painting is "Invasion Landing" done for Revell by Ken Smith. Although dated 1960, this exact issue is likely from the mid 1960 to about 1968. Molded in a beautiful dark gloss blue from the same molds at the "S" issue. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Please NOTE the light brown stains on the box top just above the port inboard engine. That is why the box top is only graded 'good-'.
