1979 issue and a very finely molded and detailed kit in the traditional Monogram style. There is no assembly but NOTE: the interior parts and seat are painted olive drab green. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. NOTE: while all parts numbers are present, the pitot tube, antenna and machine guns are broken off the wings and fuselage half. The antenna and pitot are present but the machine guns are gone. The Hawk P-36A has the dubious distinction of fighting on both sides and for more countries than any other plane in history during the opening years of WWII. This Hawk, one in a long progression of famous fighter aircraft, was the winner of a 1935 competition. The USAA Corps received the first aircraft in April of 1938 and the French ordered 100 aircraft in May of the same year. French Hawks shot down just over 30 German planes during the battle for France. The Germans captured the aircraft and sold them to Finland. Others were captured when the Germans overran Norway. In all over 800 Hawks were produced and served in China, Netherlands East Indies, Portugal, Great Britain, Thailand, Argentina and Peru. Although an excellent fighter in 1935, the Hawk was outclassed by the time the war started but when flown properly still gave a good account of itself.

Rare. Still factory sealed. Nicely detailed kit with over 130 parts. Features detailed Wankel engine, working doors, hood and trunk, removable body, full interior and more. The RX-2 was one of the first Mazda vehicles introduced into the US market. It was sold on the west coast between 1970 and 1974. It was also among the very first successful mass-applications of the rotary engine to a car. The reasonable price (around $3000) and high output made the car a success on the street and at races.
