Hard to find armor kit. John Steel box art is dated and issued 1963 due to the 98 cent price extension. Aurora made excellent armor kits for that time and this one is no exception. Modeling reviewers declared them as the finest armor kits in any scale. Molded in gloss olive drab with flexible black treads. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.

Rare kit in amazing, investment-grade 'Near Mint+' condition inside and out. Most likely the third issue of this kit and much harder to find than the first issue. Box is dated 1956 but this is from 1958 due to the sunburst oval 'Famous Fighters' logo, the silver factory-stamped out '69' price replaced with 79 and the Parents' Magazine seal at the lower left. Molded in gloss green and black. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Even includes the original factory packing tissue.

Still factory sealed 1968 first issue. This is a very high quality model of the classic Aristocrat of all American Built Cars. The SJ was powered by a supercharged 320 straight 8. The power plant muscled the 153.5 inch long chassis from 1-100 mph in 17 seconds and could top 104 mph in second gear. This kit features a highly detailed rolling chassis with suspension and driveline, complete engine, removable hood, full interior detail and more. Molded in black, clear, chrome, rubber and white.

One of a very popular line of World War 1 flying aircraft stick and tissue kits with an 18 inch wingspan. This kit features scale plastic wheels, plastic propeller, light vacuform nose cowl, die cut balsa parts, covering tissue, completely finished thrust button, metal propeller shaft/rubber hook, rubber motor and full decals. Includes full size, detailed plans. The model has not been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. Guillow's founder, Paul K. Guillow, was a WWI naval aviator. In 1926 he began producing wooden model airplane kits. His 'Shelf Models' were some of the earlier non-flying models in production. Guillow's grew during the model boom of the 1930s, and when the Depression hit the hardest, Guillow's responded with lower prices and became one of the low price leaders, frequently advertising in Model Airplane News and other leading publications. During the war, like most manufacturers, Guillow's was forced to alternative materials such as cardboard and pine. Guillow's survived the post WWII slump by creating many inexpensive profile flying rubber powered aircraft and gliders in the 1950s (along with North Pacific) which became famous - some are still available today. The stick and tissue lines have been updated with laser cut parts and are still in production as of 2009.
