1983 issue of the classic 1961 'Four Star' kit. The molds were improved for this issue; cockpit details were added and also a spinner as shown on the box art. It retains all of the great action features including folding wings, retractable landing gear, bomb bay opens and bomb drops (after swinging clear of the propeller), rear guns that can be stowed or elevated, canopies open and close, rotating wheels & propeller and more. The air group represented in this kit, VMSB-224, was the first US Marine group to fly the Helldiver in combat. The kit has never been started.
