The parts are either in factory sealed bag(s) or inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Guillow's founder, Paul K. Guillow, was a WWI naval aviator. In 1926 he began producing wooden model airplane kits. His 'Shelf Models' were some of the earlier non-flying models in production. Guillow's grew during the model boom of the 1930s, and when the Depression hit the hardest, Guillow's responded with lower prices and became one of the low price leaders, frequently advertising in Model Airplane News and other leading publications. During the war, like most manufacturers, Guillow's was forced to alternative materials such as cardboard and pine. Guillow's survived the post WWII slump by creating many inexpensive profile flying rubber powered aircraft and gliders in the 1950s (along with North Pacific) which became famous - some are still available today. The stick and tissue lines have been updated with laser cut parts and are still in production as of 2009.

Pocher Fiat 130 HP Grand Prix de France 1907, 1/8, K70

Multimedia Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

Sold

Pocher made the finest automobile models ever created. The detail and working parts on these long out-of-production, big 1/8 scale kits is amazing. This kit is a prefect reproduction of the original car that won 1st place at the 1907 Grand Prix de France with an average of 113.612 KPH with Felice Nazzaro as the pilot. The prototype of this car was used with the original drawings to create this model. It has 823 parts of plastic, brass, steel, leather, iron, rubber, copper, aluminum and other materials. Features include super detailed engine, opening hood, complete interior, all pilot controls, operating steering, working suspension, operating steel drive chains and more. The kit has never been started. All parts are still in the factory sealed bags but NOTE: two bags had torn open due to age. I inventoried those two bags and they are complete. I taped them shut for safe transport. Recommended for experienced models only. Shipping insurance (and Express Mail for international customers) is required.
