Large, high quality kit in the agreed museum scale of 1/16. Rugged design is almost completely wood covered - there is little to no tissue used. Originally designed as a .09 to .19 gas powered model for control line, or can be converted to electric power. Features full metal cowl, plastic dummy engine, shock mounted landing gear, full size plans, die cut balsa and plywood parts, shaped leading and trailing edges, metal hardware, formed wire landing gear, wheels and much more. The model has not been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. Berkeley is a very famous manufacturer of flying model kits from the Golden Age of flying aviation, about 1932-1954. Most all Berkeley kits contain a high degree of prefabrication to speed up assembly. Founded in 1933 by William Effinger, the company was quite progressive in producing quality kits - it was likely the Berkeley 'Buccaneer' was the first gas powered model in kit form. In the later 1930s, Effinger acquired the services of a very talented Henry Struck. Struck went on to design numerous award-winning kits under the Berkeley name. Berkeley weathered the post WWII recession and emerged as a major kit producer in the late 1940 and 1950s. These were great years for Berkeley and they produced some incredible and large kits. The company went bankrupt in about 1960 however. Fox engines (Duke Fox) bought the company and released the kits alongside his own FOX models and engines. This arrangement did not last, and in the early 1960s the Berkeley name disappeared from hobby shop shelves.

This box is in rare, investment-grade 'Near Mint' condition. The box has like new color and gloss, four solid corners, no repairs, no tape or price tags and no marks from either, no discoloration, fading, tears or missing litho. The only flaw is edge wear, mainly near the two lower corners. This hard-to-find armor kit has John Steel hardbox artwork is dated 1963. Aurora made excellent armor kits for that time and this is no exception. In the early 1960s modeling reviewers declared them as the finest armor kits in any scale. Molded in gloss olive drab with flexible black treads. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.

Very rare. First and only issue from 1963; very shortly after this kit was issued, ITC discontinued all plastic kit production. Large 1/450 scale kit of one of the most beautiful ocean liners of all time. Features very good detail for the 1960s, full hull that is 24.75 inches long, 124 parts, 2 winged funnels, 3 anchors, 4 propellers, 2 launches, 20 lifeboats, 2 whaleboats, detailed mast, kingposts and superstructure. Inside, the model has never been started. The kit is molded in black (hull), red (funnels and fittings) and ivory (promenade and superstructure) to minimize painting (like in the ITC United States). Kit also includes a beautiful letter (with a color painting of the France on the letterhead) from Georges Croisile, the Commandant of the French Line, introducing the kit and welcoming you onboard the real France one day. The kit has never been started. The red parts are still sealed in the factory bags. The other parts had tears in the bags due to age, so I opened them and did an inventory - NOTE: missing one tiny part, a lifeboat davit. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts present. Decals, flag sheet and instructions are included.

Features 4 torpedo tubes, 2 twin .50 caliber machine guns, 20mm cannon, life raft, 4 crew figures, rudder and prop detail and more. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. From Steve Payne: PT-109 was a 40-ton Elco 80 ft24 m motor torpedo boat MTB, refered to as an ELCO 80. She was one of hundreds built by ELCO between 1942 and 1945 in Bayonne, New Jersey.The 80 ft 24 m Elco MTBs were the largest PT boats operated by the U.S. Navy during World War II. They had strong wooden hulls, constructed of two layers of 1-inch 2.5 cm mahogany planking, excellent for speed and reasonably adequate for seakeeping, but providing limited protection in combat.PT-109 was the seventh MTB of the PT-103 class, with her keel laid 4 March 1942, she was launched on 20 June, and delivered to the Navy on 10 July 1942 to be fitted out in the New York Naval Shipyard in Brooklyn. Fully loaded, she displaced 56 tons, and could accommodate a crew of three officers and 14 enlisted men, with the typical crew size between 12 and 14.

Still factory sealed. Nicely molded, limited edition injection molded kit. This was the Blohm & Voss design entry for the Volksjager competition. It was to have two 30mm cannon and one BMW 003A-1 Turbojet and max speed of 464 mph at altitude. It was judged the best design, but the He P.1073 won because it required less man-hours to build and used some components from the Bf-109. The P.1073 became the He-162.
