Rare early kit from the 1940s. This is a solid wood scale display model featuring profile (2D) cut wooden fuselage and wings, balsa printwood, complete insignia on the plans, completely finished wooden wheels, metal propeller, glue, a glass container of green paint and even sandpaper. Includes excellent quality plans with three full-size views, text building instructions, paint guide, wing and fuselage templates for sanding and more. Never started and complete. Modelcraft became a large and well-known manufacture of solid and flying models for rubber free-flight and gas power. Their address in the 1940s was listed as 7306 S. Vermont Ave, Los Angeles, California.

1944 Lippisch design based on burning coal to power a ramjet. Double rudders were chosen for stability, and the cockpit was located forward for good visibility. Landing was to be on a skid, and the rear would rest on reinforced wing tips. Armament was to be 2x30mm Mk. 108 cannon. Very highly detailed resin kit. Still internally sealed. This manned missile was part of Germany's 'Project Amerika' for bombing of the eastern seaboard of the USA and an outgrowth of the EMW A 4b. This was to be a two stage vehicle (the box art shows it staging) with a piloted top stage. Radio beacon U Boats would guide the pilot to the target, then the pilot would bail out with POW status as a best scenario. This missile was to be a piloted version of the famous A-4 (V-2) Rocket. The idea was the accuracy could be improved by providing a pilot who would do the final aiming then bail out. Several of the A 4b were actually built and test flown, but none with pilots. The reduced drag design, basically a two stage A 4B with strakes, was the intercontinental EMW A 9. Well molded kit with photoetched parts. The Stella was a STOL aircraft much in the sense of the Fi-156, but it's performance was superior in every way. Horsepower was almost 30% greater and fowler flaps were fitted and synchronized with variable incidence horizontal tail surfaces for dramatic STOL performance. The ship was easy to fly and found favor in all theaters as a communications aircraft. In 1942 7 Stella were placed on the Akitsu Maru and used as ASW aircraft. Decals are included for two Akitsu Maru paint schemes and one unknown unit. Never started and the parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.
