Hobby M24 Chaffy Light Scouting Tank Motorized With 5 Actions, 1/31, Z51-350

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good++

$285

Very, very rare. As a matter of fact, John Burns never listed this manufacturer, and according to Worthpoint one has never appeared on Ebay or any on-line auction or sale. Clearly of Japanese original and possibly the second issue but the mold origins are unknown. The box says 1/35, but the instructions (correct and also marked "Hobby") say 1/31. This is a scale model, and has the typical detail of Japanese tank kits of the early/mid 1960s. It is very unique in that one motor performs five actions - it can go straight, turn right then back to the left after a short run, go in circles (I think), do a U Turn and the turret rotates right and left. This is done through a fascinating and complicated gear, cams and lever system. There are no less than 11 gears with many other pieces of metal hardware. The TKK Mabuchi 25 motor is included and in a 'very good' condition early TKK box. The motor is still wrapped in the printed plastic bag and the accessories are present. Inside, the kit is just like it left the factory. All the parts except the upper and lower hull and treads are still in factory sealed bags. The decals look 'excellent' and the instructions are 'near mint.' Amazingly, the treads are completely intact and fully flexible! 'Hobby' issued other tanks as well - the side of the box shows a Soviet tank labeled "III", a JGSDF Type 61 tank and a M41. No others are listed. Please email me if you have more information on this manufacturer. NOTE: this kit must be shipped insured.

Rare. Very nice early Fujimi Mokei kit with RE13 motorized drive on the rear drive wheels that move the treads. This is the desirable high gloss box top with wonderful artwork. The TKK Mabuchi motor is included and a mint early TKK box. The motor is still wrapped in the printed plastic bag and the accessories are present. Also includes a completely metal gear box, switch, wiring, hardware and more. The kit has never been started. The parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The two hull parts that were not factory sealed are present. Includes decals and instructions.

Shizukyo German 75mm Assault Gun III Motorized With Light Up Gun Barrel, 1/50, TS-202-300

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG++

$185

Very, very rare and a very nice investment. Shizukyo started in the 1960s but was out of business before the end of the decade. This kit is probably from about 1963/64 and is well molded and detailed for that time and features motorized operation on the rear drive wheels to move the treads and a large flashing red bulb at the end of the barrel that 'fires' the gun. Features TKK Mabuchi RE15 motor that is still in the original old-style TKK box, complete with printed plastic wrapper and sealed accessory bag, all metal gear box, wire and sealed bag with motorizing hardware, the red electric light bulb, glue and decals. The actual kit is molded in a black or very, very dark green plastic. Inside, the kit has never been touched. All the smaller parts are still in the factory sealed bags and the big one has a paper header. However, one of the two bags had a 2" tear, so I inventoried the bag - it is complete with all parts. The only parts that were not sealed are the upper and lower hull, upper and lower turret and gear box/gears/drive shaft. The instructions are in 'excellent' condition and the decals are still in the sealed bag and 'very good' with moderate yellowing being the only flaw. Amazingly, the treads are in 'near mint' condition and completely intact - they are still very flexible! NOTE: this kit must be shipped insured.

Shizukyo Leopard 105MM Cannon West German New Type Tank, 1/50, TS-203-300

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$145

Very, very rare and an excellent investment. Shizukyo started in the 1960s but was out of business before the end of the decade. This kit is likely from 1965 and is well detailed for that time and features motorized operation on the rear drive wheels. Features Tkk Mabuchi RE15 motor that is still in the original old-style TKK box, complete with printed plastic wrapper and sealed accessory bag, all metal gear box, a sealed bag with numerous pieces of metal hardware for motorized operation, wire and more. The actual kit is molded in a black or very, very dark green plastic. Inside, the kit has never been touched. All the smaller parts are still in the factory sealed bags with color headers. All parts but the upper and lower hull halves, motor and treads are still factory sealed, and the biggest bag has a nice paper header. The sealed gear box metal is shiny like brand new. Amazingly, the treads are in perfect condition and still 100% flexible. They are held together by the factory rubber bands! The instructions are in 'near mint' condition and the decals are 'near mint' also. NOTE: this kit must be shipped insured.

Shizukyo US Army M26 Pershing Motorized With Light Up Gun Barrel, 1/30, TS-203-400

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG++

$385

Very, very rare and a true investment piece. Shizukyo started in the 1960s but was out of business before the end of the decade. This kit is likely from the early 60s. Big scale kit is well molded and detailed for that time and features motorized operation on the rear drive wheels to move the treads and a good size flashing red bulb at the end of the barrel that 'fires' the gun. Features Tkk Mabuchi RE25 motor that is still in the original old-style TKK box, complete with printed plastic wrapper and sealed accessory bag, all metal gear box, a sealed bag with numerous pieces of metal hardware for motorized operation, wire, a red electric light bulb and more. The actual kit is molded in a black or very, very dark green plastic. Inside, the kit has never been touched. All the smaller parts are still in the factory sealed bags with color headers. All the small metal parts, glue and bulb are still in sealed bags. The only parts that were not sealed are the upper and lower hull, upper and lower turret and gear box. The instructions are in 'excellent++' condition and the decals are still in the sealed bag and 'very good' with moderate yellowing being the only flaw. Amazingly, the treads are in 'near mint' condition and completely intact - they are still very flexible! NOTE: this kit must be shipped insured.

Otaki Panzer IV German Tank Motorized With Working Gun - (Type IV), 1/45, OV-22

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc+

$145

Very, very rare. From the early 1960s. Has the unique combination of motorized drive wheels and flexible treads and a firing gun. The gun fires a plastic bullet via a spring and trigger hidden in the and below the barrel. The box is the high-gloss early style with attractive artwork. It is in excellent condition with like new color and gloss, no price tags or tape and no marks from either, four solid corners, no tears and no fading. The flaws are light shelf wear and light creasing. A very nicely detailed kit for that time and appears to be well engineered. Features a factory sealed bag of hardware including all-metal gear box, wire, motor mount, switches, battery racks, shafts, spring, screws and more. Please note that Otaki did not furnish the motor, which is recommended to be the common TKK Mabuchi RE-14. The tank is molded in dark olive drab and has the drive on the rear drive wheels which moves the caterpillar treads. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. Amazingly, the treads are 100% intact, completely flexible and are still bound by the factory rubber bands! NOTE: this kit must be shipped insured.

NOTE: one small 'leg' of the headlight bar was broken off at the factory - you can tell because the chrome was plated over the break area! Can be replaced with very fine cylinderical stock plastic. From 1924 to 1930, this 660 lb "Jack the Giant Killer" raced and won against the traditional 2,000 lb juggernauts of it's day. Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$125

Very rare, from the early 1960s One of two box versions of this kit. Early Heller issue with fantastic artwork. Early Heller kits had some wonderful engineering (such as in the Etendard IV) and this model is no exception. The model was designed to minimize painting and is molded in white, gray, clear and includes black rubber tires. The fuselage lower section is molded in gray along with the wings and engines, and the upper fuselage is in white. There is a sheet of colorful Air France decals in very good condition. The landing gear and gear doors can be positioned up or down. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. Life-Like US Civil War Navy 36 Pistol - (ex-Pyro), 1/1, 09208

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$85

From the mid to late 1960s and from quality Pyro molds. In addition to cars, ships, planes and figures, Pyro added an excellent line of well-known and not-so-well-known life-sized (1/1) scale pistol and rifle models to their line. In each case Pyro gained access to the actual weapon during the kit design, insuring a very accurate model. This is a full size model features minute gunsmith detailing, movable trigger, hammer and ramrod and is molded in a unique bluish colored plastic and includes a nice brown plastic display stand. This kit has never been started. I believe the kit to be complete but NOTE: according to the instructions, it is missing a small bushing. However, the part is always missing on every one of these I have had, and it works well without it. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts and instructions. The Civil War Navy 36 was second only in popularity to the Western 44 1860 Army model. The 36 was known for its sturdy construction and reliability. It was a cap and ball type revolver and proved very popular among the early Western settlers and cowboys.
