NOTE: builder kit only, please read carefully. 1975 release of the cut-away version of the famous "Snorting Bull" of Gunther Prien. This is a nice kit with a detailed but simplified interior. There has been no assembly but NOTE: one bulkhead has been painted. There is no other painting. NOTE: missing one crew figure, two bulkheads and rear torpedo tube. The bulkheads are simple and can be cut from sheet styrene; the rear tube can be made from anything of the correct diameter. The other parts have all been inventoried present with decals and instructions. Prien and his men survived 11 sailings but were lost on the 12th. On his second sailing, Prien made history by sailing into the British Base of Scapa Flow and sinking HMS Royal Oak.

Revell U-99 German U-Boat (Type VIIB) Submarine - Advent Issue, 1/125, 2553

Dated 1979. Large scale submarine measures over 20 inches long when assembled. The kit has never been started. NOTE: missing 3 figures. It has been inventoried with all parts and instructions present. NOTE: the instructions are photocopies of the visible U-47 model and only include the steps required for this kit. U-99 was one of the most active and successful early boats under the command of Otto Kretschmer. She survived 7 active patrols but was sunk on the 8th patrol on March 17, 1941. 40 of the crew survived the sinking, including Kretschmer, who accounted for the greatest tonnage of shipping sunk by any commander in WWII.

Features good underside detail (mostly molded in), rotating wheels, guard rails that convert into seats, opening tailgate, opening cab doors, detailed interior, driver figure and 6 soldiers with reels, duffle bags, radio, rifles, generator, mortar, machine gun and tripod.

Revell BB-38 USS Pennsylvania - Sea Power and Master Modelers Club Issue, 1/426, H422-198

The most desirable issue in investment-grade 'Near Mint+' condition inside and out. The box has factor-fresh color and gloss, no tape or tags and no marks from either, no missing or torn litho, no fading and no split or repaired corners. The only wear is very, very light, what you would expect from being put in the Revell shipping carton and then removed from it. 1961 Sea Power hardbox release which includes the rare Pennsylvania trading stamp ("mint" condition) and two trading cards depicting the B-29 Pacific Raiders art and F-106 Whip-Fly issue art (both "mint"). Inside, the kit is like new, with all parts still in the factory sealed bag and the instructions still in "mint" condition. The Pennsylvania was in dry-dock during the December 7th Pearl Harbor attack and survived with minimal damage. She was rebuilt and saw significant action in the Pacific in WWII, steaming over 150,000 miles from 1941 to 1945. It is thought that she may have fired more ammunition than any ship in history. She never once reported 'Not Ready' for any operation or need. After being used as a nuclear test ship at Bikini, she was towed to Kwajalein and sunk.

1966 hardbox issue. Builds either Air Force F-111A or short nose and wingspan Navy F-111B. Features operating variable position wings, movable stabilizers, removable nose with detailed radar, fully retractable landing gear and removable crew escape pod. NOTE: this kit has neat, minor sub-assembly and painting. Step 1 A, B and C ((main gear sub-assemblies) are built and painted. Quality is 'excellent' and all landing gear linkage works perfectly. A few other small parts are neatly painted (cockpit tub, exhaust cones, radar dish). There is no other assembly or painting. Inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions present.

Still factory sealed but the box top is drawn slightly concave as shown. Most likely from the mid 1970s and a well molded model for that time. Features good interior detail, optional armament and a choice of three versions. Originally designed as a fighter, the Toryu (Dragon Slayer) was used to oppose B-29 raids.

Revell USS Growler Pacific Fleet Submarine, 1/220, H436

1972 issue with fantastic box art. Well detailed kit for that time and 21 inches long when assembled. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. USS Growler was captained by Commander Howard W. Gilmore. On February 7, 1943, Growler was patrolling on the surface in the Pacific when an enemy vessel was spotted close aboard. The enemy changed course to ram, but Gilmore torpedoed her, leaving her crippled in the water. However, the ship opened fire with .60 caliber machine gun fire from close range, mortally wounding Commander Gilmore. His dying words were 'Take her down'. He remained on the bridge while the sub crash-dove to safety. For this he received the Navy Cross, Gold Star, and was recommended for a posthumous Medal of Honor.
