The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. UPC stood for Universal Powermaster Corporation which was based out of New York City, NY. Hobby-Time Bell XV-3 US Army Convertiplane, 1/43, 901-98

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc+++

$110

From the 1950s. One and only issue. This one is fresh from the shipping box but has a very slight factory flaw on it - there is a very small crease running vertically from just right of the forward rotor hub up to the top edge of the box. It is very hard to see and is only visible at certain angles. I personally removed these kits from the original Hobby-Time shipping box - it is the first time they have seen light since the factory. This is a very nice kit for that time with fine raised panel lines, interior detail and molded in gloss silver and clear. The kit has never been started. The original 'krinkle' bag is present but brittle and cracked. I inventoried the parts and they are 100% present. The decals and instructions are in 'mint' condition.

Hobby-Time Sealed Factory Case of 12 Bell XV-3 US Army Convertiplane, 1/43, 901-98c

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed Exc

$635

This is a factory-sealed case of 12 Hobby-XV-3 model kits from the 1950s. Hobby-Time shipped them to the address on the box, and I purchased them from the man at that address. The case has never been opened and is still securely sealed top and bottom with the factory tape. The box is in 'excellent' condition. The actual model kits (12 inside the case!) are the one and only issue of this amazing aircraft. This is a very nice kit for that time with fine raised panel lines, interior detail and molded in gloss silver and clear.

The electric motor (in the display base with the batteries) turns main and tail rotors. Sound unit makes "chop-chop" sound that varies correctly with main rotor speed. To minimize painting, the kit is molded in clear, zinc chromate green, black, chrome plate, gray, olive drab and flexible silver (ammo belts). The clear fuselage halves have no breaks or cracks, they are mint. The motor, battery contacts and hardware are still in the factory sealed bag. The other parts were never in sealed bags and have been inventoried complete, including 'excellent' decals and instructions. These boxes were thin, fragile and easily damaged. This one is in slightly above-average condition but has wear as shown. NOTE: this kit must be shipped insured.

Molded in clear, black, zinc chromate green, red and silver plastic. This one even includes the three rare factory cardboard inserts that are correct for this year. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: the 'USAF' 'Air Force' and tail numbers have flaked off the decal sheet. The other decals are still present. NOTE: the box is rough, hence the 'fair' grade. It has clear tape on it, closed splits and one open split on the right short side. The box is not in 'collectible' condition.
