Very rare kit of the modified (angled deck) Essex Class Carrier. This Revell kit is the only model ever released of this venerable ship that saw action through Vietnam. Kit contains an airwing of F11F Tigers, A-1 Skyraiders, F9F Cougars, F-8U Crusaders and A-4 Skyhawks. Model was issued in 1974. Never started. NOTE: kit is missing (2) F-11F Tigers, (2) A-4s and two helicopters. To replace the missing aircraft I have included the following cast in high-definition resin: (2) A-4 Skyhawks, (2) A-1 Skyradiers with props, (2)AD-5 Skyraiders with props, (2) F-8 Crusaders, (1) F9F Cougar, (1) F9F Cougar with folded wings, one Seaking helicopter with rotors and one S-2A Tracker with Radome. Limited release injection-molded kit of the domestically-produced Australian WWII Trainer. The Wackett, named after it's designer Lawrence Wackett, was the first aircraft produced by the Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation of Australia. The plane was a sucessful trainer and enjoyed a long service life. After WWII, many were transfered to civil hands and some were sold to the Dutch East Indies. The Indonesian Air Force absorbed these aircraft at independence. Some civil planes were converted to KS-3 Cropmaster agricultural aircraft. Includes Dutch and RAAF decals. Never started. Comet originally began model production in 1929 with a line of balsa flying models. In the mid-1950s Comet made a beautiful line of small and medium scale aircraft and missile models with colorful boxes. The early issues were in one-piece 'flip-top' boxes, and the later issues and releases were in standard two-piece 'hardboxes' with a lithograph slick glued to the top box. In 1963 Comet sold the plastic kit molds to Aurora. Aurora reissued some but not all kit. There were two Boeing 707 models made. This is the two-piece box larger scale (1/125) 'Stratotanker' - not really a tanker model at all, but a nice kit of the famous Dash-80 Prototype Tanker/707, which lead to the world's first commercially-successful airliner. Well molded with fine recessed panel lines, landing gear and prototype decals. Never started. Factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.
