Very rare. From the late 1950s. Fantastic condition kit with Ray Gaedke artwork. This is the Lindberg Q Ship, which has an unknown prototype but is suppose to be a WWI style Q-Ship submarine trap. The ship appears to be a WWI British Q Ship by the title, yet looks a little modern and has US numbers of 171 (which apparently mean nothing). The Lindberg model actually has the layout of the AK-101 USS ATIK, which was formerly the SS-CAROLYN, built in 1912. The CAROLYN was recommissioned as the USS ATIK and at the start of WWI which was a real US Q-ship. This kit has never been started. It is either still in the internally sealed factory bag or has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. NOTE: The box grades Good-, but it very fragile. The instructions are present but are water damaged.

Advanced companies, like Monogram, saw the advantage of plastic and began marketing kits with plastic details and fully-carved fuselage, wings, etc. This beautiful kit is one the highest quality composite static kits from the early to mid 1950s. Includes finished wings with airfoil, completely carved fuselage, colored die-cut wooden parts, plastic canopy, pilot, wheel, prop, cowling, scoops, exhaust and more. The model has not been started. Very high quality ex-Renwal kit. This is the largest model (1/32) made of the historic 280mm gun that fired nuclear shells. Has many operating features typical of the Renwal models. Wheels roll, tractors can be hooked to the cannon which can be stowed in the 'travel' position. The gun can move into the 'fire' position off the tractors and can be trained realistically. The kit has never been started. All parts, instructions and decals are still in the factory sealed bags.

The first issue of one of this classic model kit. Big 1/5 scale. The Visible Man (and Visible Woman) kits were part of the extensive Renwal science series. The original release is from 1959 and is extensively detailed. The kit features a large clear body (shown actual size on the box - 15 inches tall) with a complete skeleton. You can assemble, remove and replace all of the organs. The model is molded in clear, pink and bone ivory and also includes a display base, a small Renwal Catalog and full instructions. The kit has not been started. All parts are still in the factory internal display and factory sealed bags. NOTE: this kit does not contain the anatomy booklet.

Still factory sealed. Dated 1971, but this is the softbox issue from later in the 1970s. The Dam Busters squadron was famous for its daring raids on three German dams on May 16, 1943. Carrying the special Barnes Wallis-designed bombs, the Lancasters flew very low over the water in the face of heavy flak to drop the rotating bombs perfectly. Many did not return. The bombs did perform as promised, first skipping over the water, hitting the dam, then rolling down 30 feet before exploding with tremendous force. In an airburst, these bombs would not have damaged the dams, but since water is incompressible, the dams were breached.
