This is a well engineered, highly prefabricated model featuring all die-cut quality balsa parts, a large number of completely formed parts including fuselage sides, top & bottom, wing sheet covers, tail feathers, etc, finished wheels, plastic cowl & propeller, rubber motor, hardware set, vacuformed clear canopy, colored tissue, color decals, full size plan and separate teaching instructions sheet. The kit has never been started. The small parts that were factory sealed are still in the sealed bags. The larger parts were never sealed have been inventoried complete including decals and instructions.

Rare 1/48 scale model of the seldom-seen Super Cruiser. This kit is from the 1950s. StromBecker was famous for this line of precarved hardwood kits. The parts are all top-quality hardwood - no balsa. Builds to an impressive display model. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions. NOTE: the back of the rudder is broken off and missing. However, this or even a completely new rudder is very easily made from the full-size template on the instructions. There is even enough spare wood for one. Before plastic kits were introduced, Strombecker was famous as the premier hardwood preshaped model manufacturer. In the 1940s and 1950s, Strombecker kits were flawlessly engineered but not inexpensive. All wooden parts are hardwood and are precarved to shape - you only had to glue, sand and paint to finish them.

One of a series of popular and desirable scale metal and plastic kits by Hubley. Dates from the 1960s or early '70s and features excellent and detailed cast metal body, rumble seat cover, frame, hood, engine, suspension and more, many injection molded parts including wire wheels, roof, headlights, interior seats, steerable front wheels, full rolling chassis with engine, exhaust, suspension and driveline just like the real car, removable hood and more.
