In 1959 Revell produced this incredibly detailed 'educational' kit of a standard Nuclear Plant in cooperation with Westinghouse. The kit was never reissued. It is a fairly complicated kit with hundreds of parts and the full interior to the power plant. The parts were molded in five colors to minimize painting. It contains all the items shown on the box top within the road boundary including a display mat showing grass and roads, clear nuclear reactor vessel, separating reactor dome for full view of interior, movable gantry with operational hoist, working reactor hoist, circulating pumps, steam generator, turbine, electrical substation, high tension power lines, 10 scale figures and more. Includes the book "A New World of Atomic Power" by Dr. William E Shoupp at Westinghouse. The kit has never been started. Very carefully inventoried 100% complete with all parts including decals, clear 'fence', silver 'power lines' and instructions. NOTE: instructions and nuclear power booklet are quality laser photocopies of originals.

This kit is from quality Airfix molds and is from the MPC 'Air Combat Collection', which includes ground crew. Dates from the mid 1970s. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bag including ground crew, decals and instructions. It is interesting to note that this issue does not have 'Craft Master' under the MPC logo. Before this, MPC was marketing Airfix kits under the Craftmaster name in the USA. This continued for several issues and was finally discontinued -possibly with this issue.

NOTE: one decal is missing, (1) of (4) red 'United States'. Otherwise inventoried with all parts, all other decals and instructions.

The famous Loening Company built the M8 as a the first military monoplane in the USA in 1918. Powered by a Wright Hisso 300 hp engine, the M8 set an altitude record of 21,000 ft in 1919. The design was promising, but the end of WWI brought and end to the contract, so the order for 5000 units was cancelled. Very high quality vac kit. Includes airfoil strut stock. Still sealed.
