The kit is engineered for two electric motors - all hardware is included but LS did not issue the kit with the motors. The batteries are held in a very clever 1/72 scale fuel truck. Features all fine recessed panel lines, excellent cockpit and crew station detail with crew, rotating turret with elevating gun, working bomb bay doors, full bomb load, ground bomb cart, working crew entry door, moving wing flaps and ailerons, rotating wheels and propellers, ground crew, wheel chocks and decals for many aircraft. Some of the LS molds are still in use by Hasegawa as testament to the their detail and accuracy.

Classic large 13.5 inch wingspan kit. Made of solid Western Pine - not balsa. Builds up to an impressive display model. Kit includes fuselage, wings, elevators, rudder and nacelles all cut to shape, wood filler, cement mix, sandpaper, steel nose weight and a stapled parts bag with completely formed propellers, wheels, struts, etc. Large full color American Airlines decal sheet. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Before plastic kits were introduced, Strombecker was famous as the premier hardwood preshaped model manufacture. In the 1940s and 1950s, Strombecker kits were flawlessly engineered but not inexpensive. All wooden parts are hardwood and are pre-carved to shape - usually only a quick sanding would finish them.

Wartime (about 1942-43) release from the famous Ideal Aeroplane & Supply Company, which was founded in 1911. This is one of the most highly detailed Ideal Kits. Features a very nicely done pre-carved balsawood hull, factory sealed bag of metal parts, wooden stock as required, sandpaper, Casco model cement, two large sheets of nicely printed bristol board parts and very nicely drawn plans with numerous templates, details and perspectives. I have seen this kit built, and it is beautiful and highly detailed. Measures 20-1/2 inches when completed. Never started. Most parts are still sealed; the other are complete. The insides are absolutely mint and untouched down to the packing paper; I was the first person to remove the parts for an inventory and repacked it exactly as it came.
