First issue. The hardbox is dated 1959 and has the "Famous Fighters" in the oval 'Northern Lights' logo. Dramatic Jo Kotula artwork. This is the only model ever made of the famous (or infamous) German WWII converted merchant raider which was the subject of several books and a major movie called 'Under Ten Flags'. The long WWII voyage was legendary, and the ship is well represented in this full hull model. Covers can be removed to reveal hidden guns, torpedo tubes and the Ar-196 floatplane. The box has four solid corners, no repairs and vibrant color - there is wear as shown. The model has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts decals and instructions. The kit has never been painted but has minor assembly - the AR-196 floats have been glued to the floatplane. Quality of assembly is excellent with proper alignment and no excesses glue. There is no other assembly. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts decals and instructions. NOTE: three small deck fittings were taken from a unpainted built up 'Atlantis' to make this kit complete. The three parts came off very easily and are in excellent condition - the glue was so old that the locater pins are still intact. Shipping insurance is required.

Late 1940s/early 1950s large scale issue for rubber flight, or easily converted to RC using today's tiny and light servos and receivers. Kit features traditional wood/tissue construction, sheet of USAF insignia and markings especially for this kit, detailed full size plans, fully carved wooden wheels, clear plastic canopy material, template sheet including canopy, cardstock prop pitch former, balsa blocks, hardwood nose button and tissue. The model has not been started. The parts have been inventoried complete with all parts, plans and insignia sheet. Comet was a famous manufacturer of stick and tissue flying and static models. In the 1930s Great Depression, they lead the low-priced kit revolution with the "Dime Scale" kits and famous advertisements in Model Airplane News magazine and others. Comet reached it's peak in the 1930s when they acquired the services of Carl Goldberg. Goldberg was a highly accomplished modeler with articles in Model Airplane News and famous designs that won him several National level competitions in the 1930s and beyond. (Carl Goldberg went on to found his own company and produced well designed and popular free-flight and RC aircraft). Comet survived the post World War economic slump and continued kit production until they were bought out by long-time competitor Guillow's in 1998.

Rare, large scale kit from the very early 1960s. Nicely molded and detailed for the time. Features large vacuformed parachute molded in bright red and yellow, twine for parachute shrouds, wall bracket, GI figure molded in green with risers, helmet, emergency 'chute, shovel, sub-machine gun, pistol holster, canteen and decals. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. According to the instructions, ITC had an "Air Drop Series" of kits including this one, a Personnel Carrier, Mechanical Mule and T113 Tank. These were the standard kit with the additional of a parachute, shrouds and some with a wall hanger.

Very nicely molded and detailed model elevating gun, working treads, bogies with spring action, extra helmets, jerry cans and tread links and a crew of two. NOTE: no painting has been done, but a several sub-assembles have been built to the following (quality): muffler halves (excellent), gun muzzle halves (exc) and jerry can halves (exc). There is no other assembly. NOTE: missing diorama instructions, and one half of an idler wheel. Decals are moisture damaged and cannot be used. Inventoried with all other parts and instructions.

Rare. Hard-to-find kit from the ex-Soviet Union. Large 1/30 scale model has two large electric motors and a remote control box with two slide switches. Each switch operates the motor on one side so you can go forward, turn left or right and reverse. This is a very nice and detailed model for being from the CCCP. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.
