Revell Allison Prop-Jet Engine - Turbo Prop 501-D13), 1/11, H1551-498

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

$295

Very rare. 1960 first issue hardbox with classic artwork; not a reissue. Very highly detailed model of the inside and outside of the 501-D13 that powered the big Convairs and numerous other aircraft. Features a great number of moving parts that duplicate the movement of the actual engine. Molded in correct black, blue, orange and silver plastic. Inside, the kit is exactly as it left the factory and never started. All internal blue display cardboard packing is in 'near mint' condition. All parts and paperwork are still in the clear factory sealed bags. Also includes instructions for motorizing; motor and battery box were not included in this issue.

Revell B-25 Mitchell Pacific Raiders, 1/64, H238-130

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

$56

Hardbox issue with a copyright date of 1965. The 'Pacific Raiders' issue uses the same molds as the 1954 'S' kit. All three 'Raiders' sported new box artwork and featured in Pacific colors and markings. Also includes turret blocking plate to model Doolittle's Tokyo Raiders. Molded in gloss olive drab and clear. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Hasegawa Heinkel He-51 B-2 Floats - Spanish Civil War or Luftwaffe - (He51B2), 1/72, B16

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

$29

Hard-to-find He-51 float version with Spanish Civil War decals. This is an older but nicely molded and detailed kit that has markings for both aircraft listed. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Topping Douglas F5D Skylancer - Factory Desktop Model In The Original Topping Box

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$365

Incredibly rare, 1950s NOS Topping F5D Skylancer model untouched in the original factory box. The buyer will be the first one to ever remove it from the box. Inside, all of the factory cardboard and tissue are still intact. The stand and aircraft were never displayed or used - I believe they were never even removed from the box. While never used, please note that these models never left the factory in 'flawless' condition. There were always minor paint flaws and minor molding flaws as they were mass-produced. Furthermore, the canopy, white plastic and decals inevitably have some yellowing, although this example is minimal. If there is any yellowing or age marks (usually brown mildew on the plastic), you can very easily remove this with Novus #2 Fine Scratch Remover. I have found it perfect for both cleaing and bringing back Topping plastic and decals back to super condition. Because the original Topping box adds significantly to the value, it will be carefully packed into another box for shipping. Shipping insurance is required.

Aurora Focke-Wulf FW-190, 1/47, 30-100

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc++

$169

Dated 1960. The box is in beautiful 'Excellent++' condition. The only flaws are very light wear marks and the scratch in the B-17 at engine #3. Notice the 'Sunburst' logo with no 'Famous Fighters' in the oval, which dates this kit closer to the mid 1960s. Molded in black and clear with the clear triangular 'globe' display stand. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The decals are in amazing 'near mint' condition with the only flaw being very slight yellowing. The instructions are in 'excellent' condition with typical yellowing and very slight edge wear.

Ventura Supermarine Spitfire HF Mk.VII - RAF MD172 of 131 Sq FO Donald Nicholson in March 1944, 1/72, V0204

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$34

Limited run injection molded kit, only 1200 were made. Features recessed panel lines, cast metal details, metal screen and vac canopy. With paint guide and decals. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

Microscale YF-102 (Prototype F-102 Delta Dagger) - BAGGED - (ex Allyn), 1/60, MS4-4

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: No Box

$49

NOTE: bagged kit. There is no box; the box is shown for reference only. This model is from ex-Allyn Factory Desktop model molds, which were usually factory assembled and painted then given to test pilots, contractors and Navy decision makers. Rare kit showing the original subsonic configuration of the prototype F-102 before the Area Rule 'Coke Bottle' fuselage. With two decal sheets and stand. Aircraft includes clear canopy, decals, in-flight configuration and includes display stand that can display your model in almost any flight attitude desired. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried and NOTE: missing the two wing boundary layer fences. Very easily made as they are flat, narrow parts; I have included plenty of the correct thickness of sheet plastic so you can made them. Otherwise complete with all other parts and includes decals and instructions.

Aurora Boeing B-52 Stratofortress - (ex Comet), 1/317, 2494-60

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good++

$129

Very rare issue dated 1964. This is the seldom seen Aurora reissue of the Comet kit for the Canadian market only. Several small-scale Comet molds were never reissued for the USA market and for decades I have wondered what happened to them. Aurora had no need for them, as they had already cut their own (superior) small-scale molds for most of those subjects, including the B-52 and B-47. Well, the ex-Comet molds went to Aurora Canada! The small, less detailed Comet kits were issued there using the same box art as their slightly larger and more detailed Aurora counterparts in the USA. Simply looking at the box top, you could not tell the difference. However, the four digit part number gives it away as do the contents. Molded in silver and clear and still retains the original Comet 'teardrop' shaped two-piece stand. Naturally the instructions are completely unique since this is a different kit from the Aurora USA B-52. This kit is 100% correct and has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Veeday Yakovlev Yak-15 - Sample Release, 1/72, 002

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$22

Rare injection molded, limited run model. Veeday was a British company that produced some of the earliest 'short run' injection molded kits. Production lasted from 1978 to 1982. In all, 16 kits were issued if you count the Cierva C30 RAF and the C30 civil issue as two kits. Less than 1000 of each kit was produced and all kits were boxed. Two bagged kits (Pfalz D.XII and Spitfire 24) were issued after Veeday ceased production by someone who purchased the left-over stock. This kit has never been started - all parts and decals are present. However, NOTE: the instructions are missing. That is probably why it is labeled a "Sample Only."

Veeday Fokker D-VIII Flying Razor, 1/72, 003

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$26

Rare injection molded, limited run model. Veeday was a British company that produced some of the earliest 'short run' injection molded kits. Production lasted from 1978 to 1982. In all, 16 kits were issued if you count the Cierva C30 RAF and the C30 civil issue as two kits. Less than 1000 of each kit was produced and all kits were boxed. Two bagged kits (Pfalz D.XII and Spitfire 24) were issued after Veeday ceased production by someone who purchased the left-over stock. This kit has never been started - all parts, decals and instructions have been inventoried complete.

ODK Nakajima J1N1 Gekko Irving, 1/55, 100

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

$34

ODK was the logo used by Odaka Sangyo. Odaka began plastic model kit production in early 1960, but all production stopped by 1965. The Irving was their first kit; however, this issue is likely the final issue given the more realistic box art. Molded in silver, black and clear plastic. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The box says this is one of "Odaka's Double Engine Aircraft Series" and ODK says the scale is 1/55. The long top box end shows four other kits with the artwork - all for the final release of each. They include Ki-45 Nick, XP-50, P-38 and Me-110.

Rare. Older but nicely molded with recessed panel lines. Includes basic airframe parts molded in white, clear canopy (in great shape and not yellowed) and instructions/plans. Aurora Gotha Bomber G-V, 1/48, 126-198

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$95

The box has factory-new color and gloss but flaws include a crease at the upper left and light wear as shown, especially near the 198 price circle. Dated 1958 with 'Famous Fighters in the sunburst logo and the 1.98 price circle at the upper right. Jo Kotula composed the stunning composition for Aurora; by this point, his commercial art in aviation was in high demand. This big and impressive model is molded in a stunning gloss deep burgundy and black. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions. This model is part of a very successful 1/48 scale WWI series that Aurora started in 1956. They sold so well that they introduced new kits almost annually well into the 1960s. Some sold well right up until the end of Aurora in the mid 1970s.

Aurora Sopwith Camel, 1/48, 102-69

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$56

From about 1959. Rare and seldom seen true third issue, numbered 102-69. Aurora blotted out the rectangular Northern Lights logo with yellow and applied the 'new'(for 1957) 'Famous Fighters' sunburst oval logo and no '69' price circle and no Parents' Magazine seal. Aurora retained the colorful Jim Cox box art from the original 1956 issue. (Mr. Cox was Aurora's first box artist; please read his biograpny on this website) This model is part of a very successful WWI aircraft line in 1/48 scale that Aurora introduced in '56. The line sold so well that kits were added to it into the 1960s. Molded in the glossy olive drab green and black. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.
