NOTE: builder kit only, please read below. UPC (Universal Power Master)kit from quality Frog molds. Rare and excellent kit. Features a large Montreal Mooring Mast and detailed airship with clear engine pods and passenger gondola. The model includes a clever set of metal rods that allows the airship to be displayed 'floating' in mid-air from the mooring mast. R-100 measures about 17 inches long. The kit has never been started. NOTE: missing (1) of (6) engine pod halves, 1/3 of the clear 'railing' at the top of the mooring mast and (1) of (4) flat walls with two windows cut into it. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts, decals and instructions present. The R-100 was built by a Vickers Subsidiary. The famous Barnes Wallis worked on her design, which lead to the innovative geodesic airframe used for the Wellington and two other aircraft. The R-100 made a successful Transatlantic flight. Although there were issues, the design was sound. However, the government-built R-101 was not as soundly engineered and crashed on her maiden voyage, forever bringing an end to the Airship in the British Isles. The R-100 was sold for scrap and R-102 was never built. UPC stood for Universal Powermaster Corporation which was based out of New York City, NY. UPC did not cut their own molds, but bought kits already molded from other manufacturers and re-boxed the kits in the USA. Scott Eidson, the famous artist best known for his artwork with Revell, also did almost all the UPC box art in the 1960s, but this kit is unusual in that it kept the Frog Green series artwork. All UPC production ended in the 1970s.

From 1978. Very rare. This is a scale replica of a USS Constitution carriage and gun. The scale is not given, but the gun measures 7.5 inches long. The gun actually fires a .45 caliber (.440 inch round ball) shot with black powder. The carriage is completely pre-cut and shaped hardwood with metal hardware and the gun is very heavy cast and machined polished metal. Includes full instructions for building and firing. The kit has not been started. NOTE: missing one of four wheels. Luckily, this is simply round wood stock with a hole drilled in the center. It will be very easy to make. Inventoried with all other parts and instructions.

1998 issue of the classic 1969 kit. Very large 1/24 scale. Well detailed kit of Major Yuri Gagarin's spacecraft. Features detachable crew compartment, ejection seat and Cosmonaut figure. Molded in metallic silver and clear and includes display stand. The kit has never been started. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions. Gagarin's flight was the first of 6 successful Vostok launches from the secret space center at Baikonur. Gagarin made one orbit in 108 minutes, which was enough to make him the first man in space. Titov followed in Vostok 2 and made 17 orbits. Other launches featured 4 mile passes in orbit, and Vostok 6 featured the first Woman Astronaut, Valentina Tereshkova. It is interesting that Vostok did not have attitude control for correct placement when re-entering the earth's atmosphere. The sphere was designed with the weight off-center, so it would automatically swing into position during the heat of reentry.

Still factory sealed. Very early MPM kit with vacuform main airframe parts, a tree of injection molded details and vac clear parts. The A-300 was a Czech designed and built high performance twin engine bomber. The prototype was flown and found to have very good performance. German occupation ended the plans for this aircraft before it could enter series production. The prototype was flown by the Luftwaffe and later by Focke-Wulf pilots but it's final disposition is unknown.

From 1961. First issue of this very rare kit. Large 1/4 scale. Features break-away block sections 'so you can see what it does and why' - each engine part really moves like the real engine - spark plugs 'fire' (flashing lights) - motorized full engine action - can be torn down and rebuilt just like a real engine. Metal screwdriver, nuts, bolts, valve springs and electric motor are included, as well as full instructions. Inside, the cardboard divider is present and the decals, Master Modeler Application, MM trading stamp and booklet 'The Story of the Internal Combustion Engine' are included. Correctly molded in four colors - black, red, silver and gray. The kit has never been started. The gray parts are still sealed in their original factory bag. All small metal parts (contacts, springs), screwdriver, motor and light bulbs are factory sealed as well. The black and silver parts bag was opened and it has been inventoried 100% complete. The red parts bag had cuts in it, so it was also inventoried 100% complete. Although complete, this kit has the several of the typical broken piston rings. The oil pan has a closed crack. The box top has good color, four solid corners and no repairs but has heavy creases and heavy corner/edge wear as shown. There are no tape, price tags or tape/tag marks.

Before plastic kits were introduced, Strombecker was famous as the premier hardwood preshaped model manufacturer. In the 1940s and 1950s, Strombecker kits were flawlessly engineered but not inexpensive. All wooden parts are hardwood and are precarved to shape - usually only a quick sanding would finish them. This kit is hardwood with many plastic injection molded parts, so it was produced in the transition from wood to plastic. The model includes plastic detail parts, decals, glue and sandpaper. The carving is done to the final shape. When complete it makes an impressive desk top display. 10.5 inch wingspan. Never started. 100% complete with all parts, decals and detailed plans/instructions.
