Howard, who was awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor. He was an AVG pilot and became the first US pilot to become an ace in both the Pacific and European theaters. His aircraft 'Ding Hao' means 'OK!' in Chinese. The model as never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Very rare multi-media 'plastic and pre-carved wood' kit. Before there were injection molded plastic kits, model builders worked in wood or metal. Advanced companies, like Monogram, saw the advantage of plastic and began marketing kits with plastic details and fully-carved fuselage, wings, etc. This beautiful kit is one the highest quality composite static kits from the early to mid 1950s. Includes finished wings with airfoil, completely carved fuselage, colored die-cut wooden parts, plastic canopy, pilot, headrest, tail wheel, prop, cowling, pitot tube and more. The model has not been started. Some parts are still in factory sealed bags and the others have been inventoried 100% complete with decals, carstock parts, small catalog, sandpaper and instructions. NOTE: decals have a tear in the center from being stuck to the box bottom (see photo).

Rare 1956 Revell Gift set containing all three ships. This was the first and only issue of this specific gift set and features spectacular special box artwork. The tugboat is 1/108 scale and the tanker and cargo ship are both 1/400. Inside, the kit is correct. The special color cardboard over lay is factory fresh. The tug and C-3 hulls are factory painted red (the T-2 was molded in red so it was not painted). Decals are included. The instruction sheets are excellent. The three kits have not been started, and all most small parts are still in the factory bags while all parts that were never factory sealed have been inventoried 100% complete. The box is complete and has four solid corners. There is no tape, tape marks, price tags or price tag marks. However, there is general wear, light stains as shown. Shipping insurance is required with this kit.

He was very precise; the canopy is bagged separate to prevent scratching, the small parts are in a zip lock for protection and then put into a larger sealed bag with the bigger parts and instructions.
