Monogram Missile Mobile Regulus II / Bomarc / Rascal / Matador / Atlas / Snark, 1/128, PD43-98

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

$279

Very rare kit from 1959. First and only issue. When Monogram issued the 'US Missile Arsenal-31 Missiles,' the sales were not as expected; interest in missile models quickly peaked then dropped of rapidly. So they soon devised a way to get more money out of the molds. This happened in two ways. The first was the Missile "Bags" and then this Missile Mobile. The mobile is quite large; it measures 18 inches deep and 24 inches across. The Regulus II, Bomarc, Rascal, Matador, Atlas and Snark all hang from heavy printed cardboard cloud cutouts. The missiles are molded in color you did not need to paint them if you wished. The model has not been started. The kit has been inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals, 'clouds,' rigging thread and instructions. The decals are in amazing 'near mint' condition. NOTE: this kit must be shipped insured.

Monogram F-86D Sabre Dog Pro Modeler - 97th Sq or 498th FIS USAF, 1/48, 85-5960

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

$49

Around 1949 the USAF assigned a high priority to all weather fighter design and deployment. Most manufactures built traditional two seat machines, such as the F-94. North American, however took a new approach and created one of the first true "One-Man Interceptors". Keeping the wings and landing gear from the proven F-86 Day Fighter, they made a longer and deeper fuselage with a large radome and J47 engine. Guns were replaced with 24 2.75" folding fin rockets. Although more than a ton heavier than the F-86, the Dog was the fasted aircraft of it's day and set several world records. 2,504 were built and formed the backbone of America's air defense system in the 1950s. Markings for 498th FIS and 97th FIS "Dennis the Menace". Very highly detailed. Features all recessed panel lines, detailed cockpit, detailed wheel wells, optional position leading edge slats and wing flaps, drop tanks, optional position speed brakes, canopy and rocket tray and a highly detailed tow tractor. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions.

Monogram B-24 Liberator Speedee-Bilt - Five Star Super Deluxe Kit, 1/60, H4-495

Wood Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG

$625

Dated 1954. Rare, desirable and very collectible. Classic early multi-media kit with a fantastic internal box presentation. The box top has excellent color and gloss but general wear as shown, two properly repaired (from the inside) split corners and a closed tear (also repaired) on the lower side. Inside, the kit is factory new. All of the factory cardboard presentation material is present and grades from 'mint' to 'excellent++.' Includes numerous plastic parts in red, gray, clear and black, four unopened glass bottle of Mono*Dope that are still good, an unopened tube of MonoGlue still in the original mint box, all prefabricated wooden parts including the amazing Monofoil wing, three sheets of die-cut and factory painted wood (unpunched), colored die-cut cardstock sheet, sandpaper, gun barrel plastic material, decals in amazing 'near mint' condition, 'near mint' instruction book and full size plans and even a miniature Monogram Catalog showing this kit and the entire Speedee-Bilt line for '54. The kit has never been started. It has been carefully inventoried 100% complete with all parts, paperwork, instructions, plans and decals. Amazingly, the celluloid plastic parts range from no warping to very slight warping (on two of the nacelles). This is very rare, as that type of plastic was unstable and warp easily over time. Before injection molded plastic kits were common, Monogram issued the famous 'Speedee-Bilt' and 'Super Kits' which featured injection molded details and precarved wooden parts. Of these, the Speede-Bilt B-24 and B-17 were the finest. These kits are very rare today due to their relatively high original price of $4.95. This kit must be shipped insured.
