Still factory sealed. The seal has split and drawn the box concave 1964 softbox issue with great Tom Morgan artwork. This was an excellent model for that time with quality fit and finish. Includes optional position landing gear, drop tanks and very colorful decals for the plane shown on the box.

Early hardbox kit with attractive Picture Gallery artwork. Nicely molded kit with excellent fit and recessed panel lines. Molded in silver with green-tinted clear canopy, stand and stand arm. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: one part, the engine is light gray. It is from the same kit but a later issue.

Dated 1956. Rare original issue model of the first commercial 'Jet Prop.' Very well molded and detailed for that time with 82 parts in gloss silver and clear plastic. Features clear cabin and cockpit windows, fine raised detail and recessed control surfaces, full landing gear, rotating props, boarding ramp, optional position front and rear cabin doors, four scale figures (pilot, stewardess and two passengers) and great decals which include all markings and stripes - even for the boarding stairs. Never started and inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Dated 1956. The model is an excellent representation of the first commercial 'Jet Prop.' Includes full landing gear, rotating props, clear cockpit and cabin windows, scale passengers, full color decals and even a boarding ramp. The kit has never been started. NOTE: missing some clear, flat windows; two cabin and two cockpit. Easily replaced with clear stock. Otherwise inventoried with all other parts, decals and instructions present.

Hawk Nieuport 17 - Flip-Top Box Issue, 1/48, 706

First issue from the 1950s in the one-piece box. The box is in excellent condition. Inside, the kit parts are still sealed in the original factory crinkle bag. Molded in high gloss yellow and black. In the 1920s/30/s/40s Hawk made constant scale 1/48 aircraft kits from wood. In 1946 they added plastic injection molded kits to the line and were possibly the first injection molded kit manufacturer in the USA. When Hawk made an early jump to all-plastic kits they kept the 1/48 scale and created these new one-piece boxes with two color artwork. The model has not been started. Complete with instructions and all parts. This is from the early part of the first issue, and Hawk did not issue decals until later.

Great older kit with nice detail. Hardbox is dated 1965 and shows a action diorama with both Jugs warming the engines up. Can make Razorback or Bubble Top versions. Has markings for ace Robert S. Johnson with the 56th FG and 28 confirmed kills. The other markings are for an RAF aircraft seen at Newark, NJ on Feb. 16, 1945. The kit has never been started. Internal factory sealed bag or inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions.

Very rare kit for the advanced collector. From the early 1940s. Features all pre-cut wooden main parts (fuselage, wings, wheels and vertical & horizontal stabilizers), wood stock as required, insignia sheet and full-size plans that include cross sections for templates. Never started and complete. Hawk was one of the few manufacturers making wooden kits to a constant scale of 1/48 (and sometimes smaller) in the 1930s. Hawk kits were very complete and included metal details and superb quality drawings for the true scale enthusiast. Before the plastic age there was a product line of railroad, airplane and ship models which are advertised on the side of this box.

From 1945. Rare kit for the advanced collector. This issue is in a very 'fancy' box for solid model kits from this time. It is a hardbox with a litho 'slick' showing a nice illustration of the aircraft. The model contains a 3D carved and tapered wooden main fuselage, two fully finished hardwood engine nacelles, two 3D carved and tapered rear nacelles/wheel housings, nicely 2D cut wings, rudder and elevator, two metal seats for the interior, wood stock, clear vacuform canopy in excellent condition, two plastic propellers, pre-carved wheels, color decals, large and complete cardboard template set and full-size, well-detailed plans with full instructions. Even includes sandpaper and a special metal display stand. The model has not been started and is 100% complete. Hawk was one of the few manufacturers making wooden kits to a constant scale of 1/48 in the 1930s. Hawk kits were very complete and included metal details and superb quality drawings for the true scale enthusiast.
