From the early to mid 1950s. Rare very early Lindberg issue with the first Lindberg logo - 'Lindberg' in the center of a circle made by the words 'Products' and 'Incorporated'. Lindberg never wasted materials like left over instructions, plastic parts, boxes or decals - and the P-80 kit is a primary example of this practice. This kit is one of the earliest within the first Lindberg issue. It includes the O-Lin instructions (with the word O-Lin removed of course) showing the O-Lin decals and paint scheme. The instructions show the original configuration for this kit - no pilot and no seat. But Lindberg modified the molds to include a pilot. This kit includes a pilot and a flat horizontal plank for him to sit on. Soon afterwards, Lindberg issued their own completely new instructions with with the pilot and a proper seat. But many kits have surfaced with these instructions, a pilot but no seat - not even the 'plank'. Finally, kits included the new instructions, pilot and proper seat. Correctly molded in early high-gloss silver, all recessed panel lines and no rivet detail. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Paul Lindberg got his start in 1930s model aviation by designing, building and flying stick and tissue aircraft. His plans appeared in Popular Aviation magazine and he soon made a name for himself. When injection molding showed the way to increased kit sales in the late 1940s/early 1950s, he quickly teamed up with Mr. Olsen to create 'O-lin' models. Ray Gaedke was one the the early artists for O-lin, and he help pioneer dramatic and colorful box artwork. In the early 1950s Paul Lindberg was running the company and had the logo changed to his name. The first logo was circular, with 'Lindberg' in middle and 'Products' 'Incorporated' arched across the top and bottom. The second logo is the 'Yellow Square' that is on this kit. Ray Gadke continued his bold and colorful artwork for Lindberg and did this F-80C boxart as well.

MPC issue from the very first set of Airfix molds, which was when Braniff was considering ordering the Concorde. The first molds were based on the prototype studies and not the aircraft itself. Later Airfix modified the molds based on the actual aircraft, making a reissue of this early kit impossible. The model has never been started. Still factory sealed. Very nicely molded and detailed, like most Airfix ships.The large 45,270 ton Canberra was a famous post-WWII P&O ship from the final glory days of ocean liner travel. She was very innovative and it is said that never were so many new concepts pressed into service on one ship. She could carry a total of 3,199 passenger and crew and turn 27.4 knots with her powerful turbo-electric drive. Pressed into service as a troop transport during the Falklands war and nicknamed the 'Great White Whale', she could have been a prime target of the Argentine Air Forces but escaped damage.

Rare 1968 hardbox issue with a beautiful box photo of a Eastern 727 at night on the ramp, ready for boarding forward and aft with airstair door extended. Inside, the kit is molded in the correct white with the clear Aurora 'Globe' stand base and arm. The decals are intact and flat but have typical yellowing and have above average general scuffing and wear. The instructions are excellent and correct for this issue as well.
