Nice small scale model from Japanese molds of an unknown origina. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. UPC stood for Universal Powermaster Corporation which was based out of New York City, NY. UPC did not cut their own molds, but bought kits already molded from other manufacturers and re-boxed the kits in the USA. Scott Eidson, the famous artist best known for his artwork with Revell, also did UPC box art in the 1960s. All UPC production ended in the 1970s.

The famous and beautiful gull-winged SR-9 was the 1937 version of the SR series which began in 1933 and continued in production until 1941. The aircraft was popular and saw use as personal transports and executive planes. Five passenger could be seated in deluxe accommodations. The military used 45 privately owned SRs during WWII. Today this aircraft is very valuable and sought after by collectors and restorers.

1960s issue with action boxart. A well-holed and damaged FW makes a hasty power-off landing in this dramatic scene. The emergency vehicles race down the runway ready to douse the flaming engine. The pilot has the canopy open to clear the smoke or to make a hasty exit...or both. The kit has never been started. 1969 Big A hardbox issue. Hard to find 1/48 armor kit that has very good detail for that time.
