This is the fourth issue of this kit. Until recently, I did not think that there was a 'blue logo' with a 79 cent price extension, but here it is. Please note it is graded only 'good' due to the bug damage on the upper left and lower right corners.

Although an older kit, it is very nicely designed and molded and considered one of the finest injection molded, angled-deck Essex class aircraft carriers. Features one piece hull with display stand, rudder, propellers and shaft alleys, very detailed separately molded hull sides, full primary and secondary AA guns with directors, highly detailed island structure with radars, direction finders, signal lights and more, separately molded life rafts and whip antennas, rotating cranes, Grumman F9F-8 Cougars (5), folded wing Cougars (7), A-3D Skywarrior (2), helicopter, three Regulus missiles with two trailers and one launcher, full decals including draft markings, deck and elevator markings and extensive decals for the airwing. The B-29 raids on the Japanese home islands caught the Army and Navy Airforces unprepared. The S1A1 Denko and Ki-108 were far from successful at this role, so Kawasaki tried using the Ki-102 ground attack variant (derived from the Ki-96 and Ki-108) in a high altitude role. The aircraft were converted and saw service against B-29s at the end of the war, but only 238 were built.

First flown in 1937, the Fh-104 medium transport was a beautiful twin engine aircraft which if it were not for the war, would have seen extensive civil service and small airline service. Fh-104s went on to serve with distinction as liaison aircraft with the Luftwaffe.
