The I-400 was a huge 400 foot long submarine that carried three seaplanes. Originally it was intended to launch aircraft against the Panama Canal, but this attack never materialized. Three of the seventeen subs originally planned for this class were completed. The kit has not been started. The parts are either still in factory sealed bags or have been inventoried complete and includes instructions.

Hasegawa IJN Submarines I-361 and I-171 With Kaiten, 1/700, WLD095

Very highly detailed waterline small scale (1/700) model. Contains both submarines and several separately molded Kaiten. The kit has never been started. It is either still in the factory sealed bags or has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes instructions. I-361 has a very active career as a supply sub making runs to Wake Island. In May of 1945 she is outfitted with five kaiten and sent to attack Okinawa where the US invasion fleet was. After evading American forces for several days, she was sunk on May 31, 1945 by an Avenger using sonobouys and a Mark 24 "Fido" acoustic tracking torpedo. I-171 lead a very active career from Pearl Harbor, Midway and beyond. She was diverted to supply duty and was depth charged and sunk on one such mission by DD-472 USS Guest and DD-475 USS Hudson, 1 February 1944, off Buka Island.

Still factory sealed. 1995 issue. Large scale kit that can be built static or '...as a motorized, diving submarine.' Contains Re-280 motor, waterproof compartments, ballast and a 'diving key' that makes the sub automatically dive and rise to the surface while under power. Could possibly be made R/C with todays tiny systems and 2.4 Ghz technology. Includes conning tower markings for three different subs.

Aurora Japanese Sub I-19, 1/275, 728-150

The I-19 is famous for firing history's most successful torpedo spread off Guadalcanal. On September 14, 1942, the I-19 was patrolling of the Solomons when she fired a 6 torpedo spread. Three hit and sank the US Carrier CV-7 WASP, and the remaining three exploded against the BB North Carolina and the destroyer O'Brien. The destroyer sank and the North Carolina had to be repaired at Pearl till November 16, 1942. The I-19's Glen seaplane also flew night reconnaissance on February 23, 1942 over Pearl Harbor for the planned second attack by Emily flying boats on that base. 1969 issue in the 'Big A' hardbox. Large scale kit is almost 16 inches long when assembled. This is an excellent model from Aurora's efforts of the late 1960s/early 1970s. Aurora knew that most of their kits were outclassed, so in the mid and late 1960s they cut a new molds with much better detail - the I-19 was one of those. Includes display stand, decals, periscope and cranes, detailed Glen Seaplane, conning tower and deck guns. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions.

Hard-to-find 1962 hard box issue in investment-grade 'near mint' condition. Features bow and stern planes, dual props, sail with periscope/antenna cluster, missile tank, missile and launcher and display stand. Molded in black. Please note this is simply a re-box of the Aurora Nautilus kit with Seawolf decals and Aurora's 'dual purpose' instructions that are for both kits! This model has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions.

Aurora Atomic Submarine Nautilus SS571, 1/242, 500-98

Rare, Brooklyn-produced, early 1950s U-Ma-Kit. This was Aurora's first naval model. Molded in the correct glossy very dark gray plastic and includes a display stand and decals to match the box art. Never started and complete with all parts, remarkable 'excellent' condition decals and 'near mint' instructions. Even the original factory tissue packing paper is present. The box has excellent color, four solid corners with no repairs, no fading and no price tags. The only tape is the factory sealing tape on the long sides. There is light general shelf wear and edge wear as shown.

Includes all hardware for motorizing; Nichimo did not include the motor. Molded in two colors, red and gray. The kit has never been started. NOTE: missing one prop shaft support (a "V" shaped part). Otherwise inventoried with all other parts, decals and instructions present.
