StromBecker was famous for this line of precarved hardwood and plastic kits. The carving is done to the final shape. When complete it makes an impressive desk top display. This one includes beautiful hardwood parts, a clear plastic canopy, full decals in 'excellent' condition as shown, a wood based 'teardrop' stand and metal support rod, sandpaper, sanding stick and photocopied instructions. The kit has never been started. It is either still in the factory sealed bag or inventoried complete with all parts with decals and instructions.

1969 dated issue of the non-gunship model. Large well detailed kit featuring 18 inch rotor span, detailed Lycoming T53 Jet Engine with removable cowling, highly detailed interior and cockpit with opening cabin doors and moving rotors. Includes pilot and gunner figure. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: decals are from H259, the attack version of the UH-1. The decals are almost identical with only minor differences (the tail number is off by one digit and the gunship has a yellow unit badge instead of the yellow triangle).

First Motorized release from the 1950s with hard box and classic Ray Gaedke Art. Molded in green and clear plastic with a large decal sheet that includes the checkerboard nose, rudder stripes and fuselage + wing invasion stripes. Never started. The motor is still factory sealed and the other parts have been inventoried complete with all parts, decals and instructions. Lindberg is a company with a fascinating history The original 'Lindberg Line' stretches back to the 1930s when Paul Lindberg drew plans for famous modeling magazines and marketed his balsa wood 'stick and tissue' by urging dealers to carry the '...Complete Lindberg Line'. Features opening doors, full interior, removable cowling, engine detail and two hunter/pilot figures plus wild game cat. Monogram made a wonderful card-stock display that was available through mail order only. It was based on the factory display cardboard but with most of the advertising removed. The same was done for the Cessna 180.

Crafthouse issue of this very large (1/16 scale) and classic kit. Probably from the 1980s. Measures 2.5 feet long when assembled. Very highly detailed model can build to a wonderful mantle piece. Includes 0ver 250 parts - coach with full interior, full suspension, luggage rack, horses, harnesses, whip, metal chain, luggage trunks and 6 figures. The figures are beautifully molded and detailed. This kit has never been started. The parts are all still sealed in the factory bags with exception of the four horses which are complete but were never sealed. Includes decals and instructions.

Early hardbox issue from the mid 1950s with fantastic Ray Gaedke artwork. Very large and nicely detailed kit for that time that includes an electric motor, battery holder, contacts and three-prop drive for water operation with adjustable rudders. Molded in gloss gray plastic with metal stanchions and metal hand rail still sealed in the original 'krinkle' plastic bag. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals, flag sheet and instructions. This kit has a fascinating history. It was originally produced by Varney in 1944 as a multi-media model. It was novel at the time as it had a wooden hull and cardstock deck but all injection molded tenite deck parts and details. That made it one of the first US ship kits to have extensive injection molded parts. But the world was not ready for this type of kit and dealers were hesitant to carry it - which resulted in low sales. Gorden Varney sold the molds for the kit to O-lin (Olsen and Lindberg). O-Lin reworked the kit using a vacuform hull, cardstock and tenite parts. When Lindberg took full control of O-lin, he went to an injection molded hull, colorful cardstock 'wood' deck and all polystyrene parts for the first Lindberg issue. The second issue was all plastic with the metal stanchions and hand rails but the round Lindberg logo. The third Lindberg issue (this kit) has the square logo and is motorized.

Still the best large-scale Clermont kit available. Well molded and well detailed. Features full provision for motor power (designed to operate in water), working linkage for realistic paddle-wheel action, detailed deck fittings and superstructure, crew and passengers and display stand. NOTE: the kit has not been started but is missing (1) bitt and one flat clear window. Complete with all other parts and instructions. Please note this kit is not motorized. Only the much earlier issue is motorized. However, all parts but the motor and brass battery contacts are included and the instructions show hot it is done; any properly sized electric motor will do and the battery contacts can be made from sheet brass.
