Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG+

Lincoln PBY-5A Catalina - Bagged, 1/110

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Sealed

$79

Very, very rare. Still factory staple sealed; this is a bagged kit with the factory paper header. Until now this kit was not known to exist; there is no mention of it in Burn's guide or anywhere on the internet. The model features recessed and raised surface detail, clear blisters, windows and cockpit window, retracting floats and more. There is a "Revell 'S' Style" base (but it's not the Revell base). What is more puzzling is that the artwork on the paper header is a copy of the Aurora first-issue PBY artwork. Please note that the header is damaged and missing some of the right hand section as shown.

Revell Convair F-106A Delta Dart Whip Fly with Whistle and Streamers, 1/67, H159-129

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: VG++

$145

Very rare 1961 issue in the Whip-Fly 'Master Modeler' series. Model even includes the F-106 trading stamp and Master Modeler application form. This issue is based on the 1950s F-106 "S" kit. The Delta Dart Whip Fly comes with USAF decals, flight ballast, handle, 12 feet of control line, control ring, colorful streamers for the jet engine and a underside pod which is a in-flight whistle! Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The short-lived Whip-Fly series seemed like a good idea...at first. It was quickly discontinued when Revell discovered that heavily weighted models with sharply pointed noses rotating in a 24 foot diameter circle at very high speeds might not be safe.

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$89

Original dealer promotional model from 1956. The color is Adobe Beige / Sierra Gold. It is in unusually good condition and seems to have always been adult owned. There is only a slight bit of body warping which is very rare. There are no cracks, splits, repairs or any body damage. The tires show no tread wear so it has not been played with. The condition of the paint is 'excellent' as is the colored plastic; there is excellent gloss and color. The chrome is in amazing 'near mint' condition which is also rare. The green-tinted clear 'glass' is excellent all around. This promo is a bank; there is a metal bezel on the bottom that says "To Help You Save For a Rainy Day...Or Help You Buy Your New Chevrolet." There is a coin slot and a lock also, but there is no key. The box is not original.

Aurora German Gotha G.V Bomber - Abare Issue, 1/48, 126-198

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$69

Ross Abare issue Gotha in 'Excellent' condition. Mr. Abare, a rare kits dealer in the earliest days of the hobby, contracted with Aurora to produce a copy of the original 1958 kit. However, Aurora has the printers use the mid 1960s oval logo without the 'Famous Fighters' in the border- thus forever separating the Abare issue from the original issue. Mr. Abare was reportedly quite upset, as he wanted exact copies. Molded in deep burgundy and black plastic. Never started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The box has perfect color and gloss but some very light general wear and a light crease in the upper left hand corner.
