1954 issue of this classic kit. This is the second Pre 'S' release. Note that the artwork is a modified version of the first release. Inside, the kit is exactly as it left the factory. The small parts are still factory sealed in the small clear bag; the large parts that were never sealed have been inventoried complete. Includes decals and instructions. The box top would grade higher than 'very good++' but is rated as such because of a very light scuff just above the cockpit canopy and creasing in the lower part of the 'Revell' logo at the lower left.

1960 Famous Aircraft Series hardbox issue. It is easy to see why this and the 'Famous Artist Series' is so collectible, as the artwork is among the finest painting to ever grace a model kit box top. Inside, the model is from the original 'S' kit molds. Never started. Inventoried with all parts, decals and instructions present. Decals and instructions are both in 'excellent++' condition.

1957 'S' issue with fantastic box art. The box is 'excellent++' with as-new colors and gloss and four solid corners. In the 1960s these molds were modified to make the P-3C Orion, making a reissue of this kit impossible (please see the article about this conversion on this website). Features optional position cabin doors, rotating props, optional position landing gear, large colorful decal sheet and famous Revell 'Globe' clear swivel-base stand. Never started. Inventoried complete with all parts and excellent decals and instructions. Please NOTE that the front landing gear strut has two very fine braces at the top; one one brace, a few millimeters of one brace is missing.

1960 issue hardbox in the Famous Aircraft Series. The wonderful artwork by Bart Doe is borrowed from the "Famous Artist" series. This is the third issue of this kit; the first issue was the 'S' kit and the second was the "Famous Artists". Includes working wing flaps, centerline drop tank, 2 Bullpup missiles, two Bullpup wheeled trailers and a ground crew of three. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE: the decals are 100% intact and flat but have numerous age foxing stains on the backing sheet. The box top is graded 'good-' because it has significant, even wear and a light stain at the lower left corner.

It has been inventoried and NOTE: missing (1) propeller shaft. Easily made because it does not show when the kit is assembled. Otherwise complete with all other parts and includes decals and instructions, both in 'excellent+' condition.
