1973 issue. Large 1/32 scale kit measures 17 inches long when assembled. Contains decals for both RAF and US Marines version. Features detailed rotating side jet nozzles, detailed engine, removable engine inspection panel, optional position landing gear, optional position speed brake, full cockpit with pilot, underwing loadout of rocket pods and drop tanks, opening canopy and movable wheels. The kit has never been started. It has been inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. NOTE that the box displays better than the 'very good+' grade but is graded as such because there are short pieces of masking tape on the long and short sides.

Rubber-powered flying model that features die cut balsa parts, bright red vacuform nose, fully finished wood wheels, bright yellow plastic propeller, wire prop shaft, vacuform canopy (that is still perfectly clear and not yellowed), covering tissue (badly wrinkled up), insignia and full size plans with very detailed building instructions. The model has not been started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts and instructions. Guillow's founder, Paul K. Guillow, was a WWI naval aviator. In 1926 he began producing wooden model airplane kits. His 'Shelf Models' were some of the earlier non-flying models in production. Guillow's grew during the model boom of the 1930s, and when the Depression hit the hardest, Guillow's responded with lower prices and became one of the low price leaders, frequently advertising in Model Airplane News and other leading publications. During the war, like most manufacturers, Guillow's was forced to alternative materials such as cardboard and pine. Guillow's survived the post WWII slump by creating many inexpensive profile flying rubber powered aircraft and gliders in the 1950s (along with North Pacific) which became famous - some are still available today. The stick and tissue lines have been updated with laser cut parts and are still in production as of 2009.

Original dealer promotional model in very nice condition. It is 100% complete. This model was mainly adult owned. If it was played with it was very little. The friction motor still works. The body is in "near mint' condition with zero warping. Body color is glossy with excellent. Chrome is very good but has spotting on the front bumper. Clear is very good. Some of the fine trim (door handles etc) has been painted to 'professional' quality; it is good enough to pass for factory paint. NOTE: the interior was painted, but there is some paint on the inside of the windshield. Paint can be removed from plastic by soaking in DOT3 brake fluid or much faster with spray-on oven cleaner; be sure to test your stripping chemical it on an inconspicuous surface first. The chassis has been painted black.

In each case Pyro gained access to the actual weapon during the kit design, insuring a very accurate model.
