$138

Still factory sealed and in investment-grade 'Near Mint+' condition. Very rare and even more so in this condition. Revell Whip-Fly Russian Yak-25 Flashlight - Sound and Streamers, 1/50, H158-129

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc

$95

Rare. Based on the 1950s Yak-25 "S" kit, the Flashlight Whip-Fly comes with USSR decals, flight ballast, handle, 12 feet of control line, control ring, colorful streamers for the jet engines and a underside pod which is a in-flight whistle! Never started. All parts and all paperwork are still in the factory sealed bag. Literally everything inside is still factory sealed. The complete Whip-Fly series includes H151 F9F-8 Cougar, H152 F-84F, H153 F-89D Scorpion, H154 F8U-1 Crusader, H155 F-39 Airacobra, H156 F-101A Voodoo, Canberra, F-106 and Yak-25 Flashlight. The Whip-Fly series seemed like a good idea...at first. Revell quickly realized that spinning heavily-ballasted, sharp objects at dizzying speeds in or outside the home near groups of children was not the best idea. The series was quickly discontinued.

Includes Fairchild decals. Never started. Inventoried 100% complete with all parts, decals and instructions present. Decals and instructions are both in amazing 'excellent++' condition. The box only grades 'very good++' because there is age foxing along 1" of lower half the left side of the box top and on the left short end.

Revell F-84F Thunderstreak - Pre 'S' Issue, 1/54, H215-79

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good-

Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. Please note that the box shows much better than the 'very good' rating; but it is graded as such because there is a closed 1" long cut on the lower long side.

Renwal USS Lexington Angled Deck Aircraft Carrier - CV-16 With Regulus Guided Missiles, 1/500, S607-198

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Good

$185

Hardbox issue from the late 1950s. This is far and away the most accurate injection molded kit of this ship in the Post-WWII early angled deck configuration. The USS Lexington took part in many WWII battles in the Pacific. She was placed in the reserve fleet, but was then modified into an angle-deck Essex like many of her sisters and recommissioned in 1955. This configuration is modeled upon the ship in late 1950s. Like all Renwal ships, the details are excellent and the moldings very fine. Includes Regulus I missiles and launchers, moving elevators, full hull, flag sheet, full color decals and an air wing with F9F-8 Cougars (wings folded and unfolded), A3D Skywarriors and Helicopters. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including all parts, decals and instructions. NOTE: one helicopter rotor blade is broken off but present for repair. A few horizontal stabilizer fins are broken off the F9F-8 Cougars but are also present for repair.

Lindberg Landing Ship Tank LST Motorized, 1/250, 725M-198

Plastic Model Kit,   Box Condition: Exc++

$145

Rare 1950s hardbox issue with dramatic Ray Gaedke artwork. This is a well detailed larger scale kit that features an electric motor and hardware for water operation, one-piece hull, detailed deck and superstructure & more. Never started and inventoried complete with all parts and includes decals and instructions. The box has superb color and gloss. It would rate higher than 'excellent' but is rated as such because there is one closed split on one corner at the lower left. This model has a fascinating history. It was originally produced by Varney in 1944. It was novel at the time as it had a wooden hull, cardstock deck but the deck fittings, superstructure and other details were injection molded tenite. When the early Varney aircraft and ship kits did not sell well, Gorden Varney sold the molds for the kit to O-lin (Olsen and Lindberg). O-Lin reworked the kit using a vacuform hull, cardstock deck, metal railings and tenite parts. When Lindberg took full control of O-lin, he modified the molds for a third time so the kit has metal railings but all other parts are injection molded. In the fourth and final modification (this kit), all parts are injection molded plastic.
