Very well detailed for this scale. Intended for HO layouts but are considered fine kits on their own. The back of many Jordan Highway Miniatures boxes reads "Purchaser Please Note: This is not a 'quickie' kit for kids. It is a highly detailed, authentically scaled craft-type kit, designed for modelers of HO Scale Railroads." Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes instructions.

Strombecker Beechcraft Bonanza V35, C-41

Rare. Classic early 1950s kit. Made of solid Western Pine - not balsa. Builds up to an impressive display model. Kit includes fuselage, wings, elevators, rudder all cut to shape, sandpaper and a small parts bag with propeller, wheels, etc. The kit has never been started. Inventoried 100% complete including decals and instructions. Decals and instructions are excellent. Before plastic kits were introduced, Strombecker was famous as the premier hardwood preshaped model manufacturer. In the 1940s and 1950s, Strombecker kits were flawlessly engineered but not inexpensive. All wooden parts are hardwood and are precarved to shape - usually only a quick sanding would finish them.

Very rare; not even listed in John Burn's guide. Small scale kit that measures about 6.6 inches long when assembled. The kit is basic, featuring only 10 plastic parts. It is also designed for motorized operation, and comes with a big slow-rpm prop, rubber motor and torpedo-shaped weight holder and weight that hang from the bottom when you wish to operate it. The kit has never been started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes instructions. The instructions are on the bottom of the box top.

The kit is engineered to be motorized and includes all hardware to do so, but Tamiya did not include the motor with the model. Has decals for two aircraft. Never started. The parts are still in the internal factory sealed bags and includes decals and instructions. The bags even have the Tamiya paper headers in 'excellent' condition.

Very early Tamiya kit from the 1960s with a high-gloss box top in 'excellent' condition with the fantastic artwork that has made these kits so popular. Novo Bristol 138A - (ex Frog), 1/72, F165

This model is from the original Frog molds and make an ideal 'Classic Builder'. It has never been started. It has been inventoried with all plastic parts and and instructions present. NOTE: missing decals. On the 28th of September, 1936, the Bristol 138/A climbed to an altitude of 49,967 feet to establish a new world altitude record. In 1937 it climbed to 53,967 feet where the windscreen cracked. The pilot was saved by the pressure suit he was wearing.

MPC Northrop P-61 Black Widow, 1/72, 1105-100

Still factory sealed. 1970s issue features interior detail, rotating wheels and props, drop tanks, elevating guns and rotating turret, moving ailerons, positionable spoilers and optional bomb load. This kit is from quality Airfix molds and is one of the MPC issues that include custom and USAF decals, clear prop disks for 'in flight' look and the unique clear modular display stand. Note that this issue still has 'Model Products By Craft Master' under the MPC logo. Before this, MPC was marketing Airfix kits under the Craftmaster name in the USA. This continued for several issues and was finally discontinued although MPC continued to distribute Airfix and their own models.

Hawk F4D Skyray Triangle Box, 1/72, 402

Rare Triangle Box issue from about 1957/58. As a marketing experiment, Hawk tried this novel and colorful box only with the Skyray. Dealers found it difficult to stack with other kits and it was discontinued. Most parts are molded in gloss white, with a green-tinted clear canopy and brown pilot. Never started. Inventoried and NOTE: Missing one rectangular gear door. Otherwise includes all other parts. NOTE: the four bombs are blue and not white; they are from another issue of this same kit. This box rates as only 'fair.' It has splits, wear and some clear tape on the top right as shown

Williams Brothers Le Rhone Rotary Aircraft Engine, 1/8, 301

Still factory sealed but the seal has splits. Very nicely detailed, large 1/8 scale model features nine cylinders, crankcase, carburetor with sliding valve, accessory drive gears, oil pump, magneto, full wiring and display stand. The 80 hp Le Rhone was developed before WWI and was used in many early aircraft. It did see service early in the Great War and it's follow on, the 110 hp Le Rhone was used in larger aircraft. The crankshaft of the Le Rhone mounted directly to the firewall and was part of the air and fuel intake system. The crankcase, propeller shaft and cylinders all revolved at about 1200 rpm. These three assemblies were carefully balanced to reduce vibration.
